Why I think you should draw your MCs last

When I was working on Gloom and Doom, of course I eagerly went and drew the two main characters first. Then by the time I was working on the minor characters, my art and my workflow improved. And it became difficult to go back and fix or upgrade the main character art. That's the basic summary of it, and I go into a bit more detail in my devlog.

I understand this probably might not work for everyone, but it's just my two cents!

Yeah I definitely noticed this too. It's inefficient, but I've just come to terms with the idea of redrawing my MC after doing all the other sprites. It's useful to have some sort of placeholder, and I may as well use the character that I'll be drawing most to help set the style.
