Adobe Illustrator- best default canvas for doing a background picture?

#1 Post by Fizzleup »

So I'm trying to use adobe illustrator to create my own background illustrations for a Renpy visual novel. What is the starting canvas settings I should go with? Normally when drawing with adobe illustrator, I go with the default 'Web-Large' which is 1920 x 1080 px. Not sure if it's relevant, but drawing will be made up of mostly pathway lines and filling in color. I don't do a lot of paint brush strokes when it comes to using adobe illustrator.

Unlike Photoshop, I suggest making the artboard the same size as the final resolution of the project. It'll be easier to export quickly, especially if you need to run a script for batch export on multiple files/artboards.
