Hi.
I'm working on a few ideas for background art style.
But I'm wondering if the backgrounds can be distracting if they are too arty.
So, what are your thoughts on plain v artistic backgrounds in a visual novel?
Also, attached are examples of my current style preferences.

I've never seen a visual novel review that criticized the backgrounds for being distracting. Your backgrounds look good.

Personally, I like the top one but feel like the other two is too much.
