I will be doing this until Sunday night. Get your requests in now! It says five, but slots are infinite.
What I am willing to do:
Anything other than yaoi
1. specialtantei
2. HanaMori
3. specialtantei
4. specialtantei
5. Open
I tackle both, if I have the time. I'm going to start on the bottom one. A Bengal tiger with a knitted hat is just too good to pass up.specialtantei wrote:Hmmm, I love both these pictures. Maybe one of them appeals to you :3.
I've got an idea for that one right off the bat! One quick question: what is on his arm?HanaMori wrote:Ah, something from the Chief! I've always admire your story and writing style. At times like this I curse myself for not drawing enough scene images. But I hope you can make out something from this, they're unnamed, so you can name them yourself!
Thank you first!
As the first rays of light rose over the cragged peaks, Li felt something that she had scarced dream that she would feel again. Hope. Another night of nightmares fled before the blessings of the sun.
“We made it, Ren. We're alive.”
Li tossed her halberd to the ground before hopping off of Ren's back. When the elders had presented the glistening duel-ended polearm to her, Li had thought it was just ceremonial for all young spirit walkers. Now, years later, it was an extension of herself, the shield that was her only protection from the creatures that walked in a world that was not their own. Well, the halberd and Ren.”
Running her hand through her long, brown hair, Li wondered if any of the elders would even recognize her now. The trainee who would cry about having to practice banishing techniques and couldn't even get on Ren's back had long since perished to the constant threat from spirits who wanted her life force. The trainee's painful wooden sandals had been shucked for a pair of beautiful leather boots that laced all the way up to her knees. The scratchy cotton robe had been traded for a black and pink skirt and blouse that had been given to her as a gift for banishing a nasty ice elemental. A giggle escaped from her lips when she thought of how old Elder Dongli would flip out if he saw that horrible bowl cut had grown to the point where she had to tie her hair into a ponytail with a pink ribbon. No, they wouldn't see the shy, weak girl she once was.
But Li did miss home. There was always a warm meal on the table and a bed to rest her head. While she had gained the luxuries of freedom, they had been exchanged for the securities of the temple. Back home, she never would have had to check Ren over for infection from a grule bite. As she checked under the hasty wrapping job she had been forced to do last night, Li was expecting the worst. Thankfully, the gouge in the giant tiger's front left leg didn't appear to be infected. She would have to change the blood-soaked bandage, but she wouldn't have to dig into their dwindling supply of medicinal ointment.
Scratching him behind the massive whiskers, Li quietly reassured him that it was going to be alright. He knew it, she thought, but everybody needs to hear it once in a while. The radiant orange and black tiger had seen more combat than she would ever see. Already reaching his second century, Ren had fought more of the nightmares than she'd ever dreamed. His alluring fur coat was broken up in so many places by the scars of ancient battles. Would she end up like that? As she wrapped up the bandage, the young girl wondered how scarred she would end up. She had only broken the age of nineteen a week ago, but she had been in forty six fights with demonic spirits. Ren and her halberd had guarded her so far, but how long would her shields last? Ren was strong, Li was...
She shook her head, shoving the thought from her mind. Li Mengli was now a spirit guardian, a protector of this world. With the protection of the land and the sun, she would never falter in her duty. Making sure the bandage was secure this time, Li pulled herself back onto Ren's back. The sun wouldn't last forever and that grule was still out there, praying on innocent farmers. A quick rest at the inn and Ren would be back out here, righting the inbalances. Smiling as she watched the sun raising in the distance, Li knew that the elders wouldn't recognize the fighter she had been forced to become. That was okay. As long as she had her halberd, Ren, and her duty, Li had all she would ever need in this world.
Thanks! ^_^ I don't often get the time to write outside my projects. Since I'm coming back to the freelancer scene soon, I need the practice. I'm incredibly rusty right now. >.<;specialtantei wrote:Wow! I just love it! Great story you've got there. It makes me wanna force you to write more about it. Looking forward to the other ones, your writing is truly nice and inspirational! Now I want to write something myself *runs to create request thread*.
That is some kind of half-shield armor, that is wore on the arm. (If that even make sense.)KomiTsuku wrote:I've got an idea for that one right off the bat! One quick question: what is on his arm?

-------------------------------------------------------Alone. Other than the black drake that circled overhead, preparing for another strike, Dessa was completely and utterly alone. The rest of the party that had charged up this forsaken mountain lay scattered across the mesa she stood upon. One by one, they had been picked off by the beast that they had challenged. One by one, they had all fallen to the scalding fire and razor talons they faced. Out of the five that had risen to the challenge, only the blond priest remained standing. They were so close, so close to bringing down the beast, but what could a healer do?
Before Dessa could think up any sort of battle plan, the drake swung into a high speed dive towards her. The healer only managed to dodge at the last second, the talons spraying rocks and pebbles across her. Dessa raised her hand to her face, feeling a trickle of blood from a cut caused by a particularly sharp one. The pain stung a bit, but she knew it wouldn't hurt as bad when the drake inserted that claw into her abdomen.
As she pulled herself back to her feet, trying to brush the dirt off her orange robe, a burst wind gale from the drake sent her flying. Her back slammed again a rock outcropping, sending a spike of pain through her spine.
“This is it. We're done for.”
“Don't say... that... yet.”
Dessa turned her head and saw Ciel's shining aqua eyes staring at her. A cheeky grin was on his face, concealing the pain that he had to be feeling from claw marks on his leg.
“Ciel! You're alive!”
“I promised you that I wouldn't give up on you, right? No drake is going to stop us.”
That puppy dog cheerfulness and straight-forwardness were what had drawn her to him. They had been a duo through thick and thin, danger and peace. When the original members of their party had gave up on them, Dessa hadn't. That hope of being a hero and saving people had been a boon that she just couldn't give up on.
But now... It was over. They would be the heroes who had fought bravely, two friends lost fighting the forces of evil. So close, so far.
Dessa quietly whispered, “Together until the end.”
“But it's not the end! You can't give up now.”
“How am I supposed to defeat that thing? I can't. I know I can't.”
“Then believe in me. Believe in me, who believes in you.” Dessa felt him take her hand into his. “I trust you, my little mage.”
Pulling herself to her feet, Dessa stepped forward. She knew she couldn't beat such a monster. It was suicide to even think that such a thing was possible. Only two of her spells even had a chance of piercing the monster's hide. But she had never once doubted Ciel. Dessa had never doubted that heart, soul, or instinct that had led them through adventure after adventure.
As the beast landed, shaking the ground in front of her, Dessa focused her energy. Ciel's sword couldn't help her now, but if she could focus their hearts, maybe they had a chance. The demonic red eyes of the drake bore into her muted brown, but she could show no fear. It wasn't going to hurt them. It wasn't going to take away her partner. Dessa wouldn't allow it.
“I believe in you, Ciel.”
I have to argue with how good it is (so bloody rusty right now, haven't written traditional fiction in 6 months), but thank you so much. ^_^ If you want to throw more out there, I'm always happy to fill up my down time.specialtantei wrote:*sheds a tear* Man, you are so good at this. Guess you just won a new number 1 fan!
If you are that desperate and willing to write I can give you two other pics I like.

As soon as I finish lunch and writingspecialtantei wrote:I'll give you two pics and two songs..... I love to read your stuff *plans to stalk every thread of his from now on*.
Hope you get inspired :3.
