Very useful music and sound effect resource

#1 Post by SelLi » Mon May 14, 2012 3:15 pm

Hello. :)
I'm still working on my project in the early stages and thought I should look for some music for it.
I'm doing all the work of my visual novel myself in terms of code and writing and art- that stuff. I'm sure that's not uncommon.
But I don't make music or sound effects.
So I looked around and I found a few tracks that were free but I didn't think they sounded very good.
And I found other royalty free music but everything was really really expensive and looked pretty complicated to me...
But then I found this site.

http://www.jewelbeat.com/index.php
It has a LOT of songs for pretty much every mood and they're all $0.99 per song for use in your personal or commercial projects.
And there are some free songs on there too, and free sound effects. (If you download the free stuff you just give them credit where credit's due and give a link to their site if you can.)

So... the music is really high quality and great :) I thought I'd help you guys out because I think I'll definitely use this site for my own VN.

I hope this isn't against forum rules, I'm just sharing this because I really think it's a great resource for anyone who wants to use high quality stuff, you know?

--EDIT--
I don't think it was this way before, but the free music is only free for use in non commercial projects.
I guess if you're looking to make a commercial project, you can just buy the $0.99 track.

My gosh, this really looks promising. =w=
(I might buy something too.)
But I wonder what this edited versions of a track are that come along with a CD?
What do I have to expect? =o

/ edit: Already found out - I'm so slow sometimes.
However, loving this site sooo much. x3
(It's so perfect. *___*)
