Hi, everyone. Name's jeje.
Btw, do you know a free software that could compress music without losing it's quality? Or maybe if I have to buy it, could you recommend a good one?
Thx!

Re: music compressor?
Depending on the format you want and how much quality you are willing to sacrifice, there could be any number of things you could use.
You can read about the various formats and their pros/cons here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_file_format
As far as what to use to encode them, google will service you well. One MP3 encoder isn't any better than the next outside of the GUI. You could actually download Wavosaur and the Lame encoder(dll file) to go with it and export audio to mp3 format. Most DAWs will bounce to numerous audio formats as well(though they tend to have restrictions on certain commercial formats like MP3/WMA).
OGG Vorbis is opensource(it's free), just google "OGG Drop", and download that encoder if you choose that format. It's pretty straight forward how to use it.
Hope that helps.
