ToL 1 compatibility?

This is where all the old Lemma Soft-specific posts are (i.e. Tales of Lemma 1, Shoujo Attack!, and some Hanafuda Club). They are here for old times sake ^^

ToL 1 compatibility?

#1 Post by Guest » Wed Feb 04, 2004 10:21 pm

Will the game work with Win95? It says Win98 or higher in the (suggested) "game requirements" section, so I'm anticipating a "no" on this, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask anyway. I really want to play if I can; it sounds fun. :)

Yes, you can play on Windows 95! 8) At least, it works on my Win95 machine, so...

I should probably fix that, huh? ^_^

Also, if you have problems getting the game to work, try using the alleg40.dll file that comes with Shoujo Attack! instead of the alleg40.dll file that comes with ToL 1. (just copy the Shoujo Attack! one over the ToL 1 one.) You should probably be fine, though.

Thanks for downloading my game :D *gets a warm fuzzy feeling*

Yeah, I figured that out a little bit ago. I dled the game anyway, for curiousity's sake. :D The only problem I had with it was that it never really installed anywhere. I played it by searching my computer for "lemma" and moving the file from my 'temp' folder to the desktop. Not really a problem unless someone doesn't know enough about computers to do that. But, it could have something to do with the Allegro version or something. Not sure.

Have played once through, and really enjoyed it. Lots of funny stuff in there, and it felt like it ended at just the right time, too. So - great job, and keep it comin! ^_^ And thanks for the help, too. :)
