I'm falling down at story writing. I'm having too much fun coding.

I am also trying to resist the urge to add magic items to the game. Maybe that's what you can buy with your "cat cred".

I'm feeling the pressure, too. And, it's only day two! (Well, almost day three where I'm living.) Be glad you're still getting something done. Having half of the coding done already is a great feat - let yourself have fun. Crunch time won't start until another few weeks from now. If you've still got time, then sneak in the magic...bonus points if there's some thinly-veiled Nyan Cat references with the magic items.

Ohmigod yes there should totally be milk and catnip. And delicious mice cookies. Or maybe you could use it to hire bodyguard cats (dogs?) to help you intimidate other cats/take over territories.

You'll definitely be able to get things like "Better Scratching Post", "Moving Red Dot thingy", "Gushy Food"

I've got the really ugly basics of the coding done. You can scout territory & challenge other cats. The other cats currently have two strategies: Random and Last Used. I am hoping to add One Hit Wonder, Flip Flop, Copy Cat, and Mr Gambit.

Anyway, as someone who's already had a cat, dog, bird, fish, rabbit in my 18 years on this planet, I can safely say that an rpg game centering around one of these is an instant grab for me
