So I was over in the thread for this game School Memories, because the art and animation is quite stellar, and was thinking "You know, this person Morishita really should go and make a NaNoRenO game. Their stuff is awesome and they seem to work quickly."

Then I came over here and was like "Of course Morishita is making a NaNoRenO game! Celebrate!" \(^_^)/

^^^ Long winded way of saying this looks awesome, love the sunset scene and I can't wait to see the finished game.

Don't worry your comment really made me laugh (/^▽^)/

Thank you for checking in on my other thread though. I really wish that I could work much faster though but sadly my team of me, myself and I is moving slower than I would like （ﾉ´д｀）but I'll keep trying my best to get a fun game out and ready by April the 1st or the end of march 31st...I'm not sure which date is the final release date...
But on a brighter note, I'm really happy and relieved that you think so highly of my work. I kind of feel like I'm lagging behind with so many others when it comes to my work a lot of times so I get pretty hard on myself but it's really good to know that my hard work with my art is paying off and that people are seeing my effort. I really hope you and everyone else will be able to enjoy the game as much as I am enjoying the making of the game!

Don't worry about being long winded because I tend to have that same issue as well and I don't mean to but I talk so much sometimes and don't realize it until someone points it out or when I have that akward moment where I feel myself talking to much and it's like "okay stop talking now.." but I keep going....*kind of like now...^^;*

I was able to sketch up the first encounter cg for each boy but for now I will only show the second boy's sketch cg. I don't want to spoil it to badly for you bur since the sketch is so rough I don't think it should bother anyone too much.

Anyways I still have a few more cg's that I need to do and some more backgrounds but I am still making good progress ^^

*That creature thing that he is putting back in the water is kind of a mixture between those cute eels and the electric ones...though I don't believe electric eels are in the Caribbean....I don't know but they will be in this Caribbean.*

I think enjoying creating your game is the most important thing, and it will definitely carry over to your players. So try not to worry to much, you're game seems to be coming together nicely and I'm sure you'll finish with a brilliant game you can be proud of. Heaven knows I'd be proud if I could draw like you can.

Before I forget I wanted to go ahead and get started on my weekly update for my thread's! Since I've finished some of my NaNoRenO work first I decided to go ahead and update you on that
Here is a small promo image of the game now after looking at it I was thinking maybe I should have this as the main menu screen. I have the main menu screen posted below this. Let me know which one you think would work best?

I still have to add my school Memories stuff on there but since Curse of the Caribbean is being launched in 6 day's I thought that it was a little more important due to the time constriction.
Anyways I just wanted to say that I now have 2 of the 7 cg's finished. Here are two thumbnails of them for those who are a little interested ^^
Okay now this one is a little hard to tell what it is but it's water....that's purple....I like purple it gives it a errie look right?


This as you can tell is an eye....that's all....( ･_･)

That's very true! If you don't love what you do then when you have those hard, unmotivated discouraging times or when personal or health issue come busting through your door, it's that love that you have for your work that's going to push you to keep on working on it and seeing it to it's in even if things are erupting around you. I think that's something that finally clicked in my head when it came to me and story telling. I love to make stories and that's what helps push me to keep going with my art. Look at you making me think all deep and what not's GeneDNC hahaha!

Dawww~ Thank you! Do go on (ﾉ´∀｀*)ﾉ *hee hee just kidding but really thank you （＠￣∇￣＠）Once the game is released I plan on doing a character poll so that when I do the game upgrade with all the things that I'm not able to put in now because of the time crunch I plan on posting the results in the game as a little bonus ^^

I like image one. I don't know, the second one looks plain in comparison (not that that's bad or anything; it still looks great), but the first seems...full of life? Is that too cliche/incorrect to use?

And your art and coloring is so pretty. It makes me jealous.

Definitely image #1. You're showing off your gorgeous characters in it. It draws me in more than just the water. And, you could set up the words "start, etc" on that white strip where you have the text right now, if there's enough space.

That's one beautiful eye in that preview image.

Don't worry I don't think that what you said was bad or cliche ^^ It's actually very true. I think the sky and colors help give the image more life so that's why when I looked back over it after finishing it I was like "Maybe I should use this for the main menu..." Thank you Mink!

You're comment is very helpful! Knowing that more people actually favor one design over the other really helps so don't worry ^^.

I didn't even think about doing it like that! O.O My stupid self was thinking about putting it in the middle but that annoyed me because it would be to close to the faces. I don't know why I didn't think about putting that in the white line TT.TT I'm so slow. Thank you so much!

I really have a lot of fun drawing eyes, I think this cg is maybe my first or second favorite one...then again that might change after I finish the others ^^;

Just wanted to post up another image update before I sign off. I was able to get one more cg finished so now I have about 4 left. I hope I can finish the rest of my work in time to do them or else I will just have to settle with the 3 until I do a relaunch of it.

Man, that CG looks amazing. I can't wait for April where we can all stop working on our NaNo projects and play each other's games!

I agree with using image 1 as the main menu, it's just much more dynamic and interesting. You should make each image of the guys light up in normal colour when the player has finished each relevant route.

I also like the logo a lot, although, and this is just my opinion, I would put the words "of" and "the" next to each other. It just helps the flow a bit better when reading it IMO.

Also I think the first titlecard looks better! But I do like the second one too...maybe if it doesnt have thouse frames and is just some soft overlay of light blue..it would look nice also if the flower of the mc is on the waves like they are playing with it(but I think it would give the wrong idea so dont mind me orz)
