A simple story with a deep character development!
I love it!
And 50 menus, sure it's gonna be tough to play!
Can't wait for the release..
Good luck on the progress!~

Thank you so much! We're hard at work now to finish up writing. Here's the latest Lint check:
Code: Select all
The game contains 728 screens of dialogue.
These screens contain a total of 18,453 words,
for an average of 25.3 words per screen.
The game contains 62 menus.
I'm finishing up day 1, while Nancie's working on Day 2 and 3.
And finally, after a while, nancie fixed the NVL-mode input! Now you can name your lady how you want it!

Yep, ugly preview image is ugly. I can't really press "s" while I'm typing my name to get a screenshot, and plus I still have to shrink it...
And yes, those really are the pre-made names. Do you think I should keep them or just stick with the input?

Okay, so. I updated the first page and stuff. Finally my ugly concepts are out of there *cries tears of joy*
I just realized that ... ahahaha I have totally forgotten about the humans *cries again* I'll try to ask my artist about this! ;u;

LOL I LIKE HOW COREN AND HORAI ARE AMONG THE OPTIONS
+10000
Just a suggestion though:
"bland and lifeless" shouldn't be adjectives here, but adverbs. Like "lifelessly". Otherwise, the sentence will sound strange.

Hahaha, I removed that bit because it was adding up the code -- now you have to type in a name. Although I might reconsider adding that back up again...
Oh, sorry. I'll edit that P: This, people, are the effects of writing important passages on your story at 1AM.

I actually like the name picker idea. It's often hard to just enter a name in a game, especially right when you start, before you know what the game is really about, and what the style of names in the game is. By providing a list of example names, you won't wind up with (exaggerating a bit here) and elf sword-maiden named Steve.

The reason why I even had the name picker in the first place is because I was patterning it from Choice of Romance's naming system. I removed it because it was adding up to the code, and mainly because it was getting awkward since I always name myself anyway when I test. But then, you're right. I'll get the name picker back. P:
The game's too large that's why we'll only have a demo by the end of March, and we'll release the full version a few weeks after. At least I won't have to worry about writing scenes for an entire in-game day...We can have a version with a male protagonist as well... maybe. Having a male protagonist can mean the word count doubling, and we're past halfway writing and we hit 35k words... (way longer than what I have worked on S&H for months!)
I'll update with the final word count as soon as I finish typing my part and inserting Nancie's. If Zylinder updates, I'll post as well (since the previews in the first post are WIPs). Tomorrow will be the last day and I'll spend all day tomorrow coding in the sprites, graphics, and music. Good luck to myself P:

Does this mean that like Choice of Romance that they'll be romance options, or just political drama?

Yes and no! There's equal portions of everything. Or maybe, I think it's leaning more to the romance, but then you can choose NOT to pursue anyone.

I played the demo and I really enjoyed it! It's sad its only a demo, but but I'm looking forward to the full game. So far I'm liking the interaction with the other characters and the choice options. It's fun and I think even without sprites ( are you planning on sprites? Because I think its just fine without them) its a really great game.

There would be sprites. XD Why would there be art on the first post if there won't be any? XD I didn't add them in the demo because the artist wasn't done with them yet.
I'll probably doing some tweaks on the court parts since there were some problems and inconsistencies with the border issues in the demo. I'll go fix those and probably upload soon an edited version.
