Vella The heroine of our story. An independent-minded mermaid tired of her lot in life. Accompanied by her best pal and constant companion...
Bub A pufferfish. A fairly amiable fellow, but can be a little prickly. Doesn't say much.
I haven't started work on the art properly yet, but I figured I could allow myself a rough pencil sketch to get some idea of what I'd like the leads to look like along with a quick test of the colour palette for 'em. The final pieces will be inked and cel-shaded and should look a whole lot better.
FEATURES
- A custom VN engine written in Gamemaker Studio, playable directly in any HTML5-capable web browser. There will definitely be a windows download version for slower systems, maybe a Mac download too.
- A hopefully fun hour or two of gameplay. Think of it as a pilot episode for a possible series or something.
- Minigames and possibly other gameplay elements, depending on how rubbish the prototypes turn out. Developing and finishing the story is first priority though.
