Format:
Isse Takes the Trolley is a short, first-person interactive fiction written in Twine. The variation in game comes from the multiple branching pathways in transportation one can take from place to place, arriving to your destination early, late, or on time, and all the colorful, interesting characters that you can meet along the way. The focus of gameplay is exploration in the everyday, the wonder in the mundane.

Premise:
Isse is a timid and mildly agoraphobic mouseperson living alone in her mansion in the secluded city of St. Ventin. She doesn't ever like to leave the house, much preferring the company of her books and dusty knick-knacks to real people. Her only window to the outside world is her trusty portable handset, Ol' Red, which she occasionally uses to talk to her nagging older sister, Marceline. But money is tight, and now Isse must venture out into the strange world beyond her doorstep to get to know the city she has called home for 20 years. Her greatest challenge lies ahead of her: trying to find a job.

Art:
All the major characters have been designed and Arted. my biggest challenge (ulp!) will be illustrating as many of the branching paths and locales of the game (I'm seriously terrible at architecture and perspective!)

Story
The main storyline has been completely planned and is about 10% done being written. All of the side-places and other interesting areas to visit have yet to be planned. I have a notebook with me all the time in which I record my personal public transit experiences, though, which should be great material to be used in the game!

Other
I'm going to be off in San Francisco for like a week, so that may put a huge damper on my illustration progress. I'm also reading up on the latest version of Twine to see if I can implement a light "time" system in the game as well as how to create interesting random events, and also mapping out all of the branching pathways of the game! whew!

Oh, how cute! Your art style reminds me of many of the illustrated books I read as a little girl (which I still reread every now and then).
