Quick update: The script is up to 7821 words! I'm gonna say this is almost halfway through the story...! The first half is pretty much completely written except for one character meeting scene. The second half is a little more of a doozy because there's quite a lot of small variations that need to be coded and the story flow becomes a bit different *w*) I'll have more to say about it when it gets coded/written haha

I also finished all my base sketches for the sprites so I'll be starting on line art now! I'm planning for a few characters to have arm pose variations so that should be fun =w=)

I love the costumes and the whimsical premise and art style! So far it brings to mind the feel of stories like the Little Prince. I can't wait to see this one. :)

WEEK ONE ROUNDUP!

The game contains 669 dialogue blocks, containing 7,285 words and 37,943
characters, for an average of 10.9 words and 57 characters per block.

The game contains 20 menus, 0 images, and 12 screens.

And that puts writing at a solid 50% complete! I didn't manage to nail down the script in one week, so I'm getting it down by March 14th for sure! The only things left to write are short dialogue exchanges and ending scenes for each character. It should go pretty fast but I'm waiting on code to catch up with me.... HAHA

But of course I'm not really waiting. I'm working on art in the meantime!! I knocked out all the background sketches in 2 nights so I'll be polishing them up for week 2!

I'm also going to be working on sprite line art for week 2 so those previews should be coming up in the next few days *____*

It's been fun seeing everyone's progress for week 1!!!!! LET'S ALL WORK HARD DURING WEEK 2 GO GO GO!!!!!!!!!

WHOOPS I totally forgot to update this thing;;;; WEEK 2 + 3 round up as we head into the final stretch!!!!!!!! I literally spent these two weeks on BACKGROUNDS (and writing). At first I was super slow but now I'm a bit faster with it;;;;;;;;;; holy crap. At least they look good?!

I started sprites YESTERDAY :'D (kill me). It's okay though;;; I'm going to do my best to the very end!! I have 1.5 more bgs to do and little bit more gui but what's mostly left for art is sprites... which is funny since most people seem to like doing sprites first!

Writing is all done in my head (HAHAHA). I need to coordinate editing with my co-writer a bit but I'm not too worried about it compared to art...... I'm gonna do my best to get everything typed out in the next few days so I can finish editing at the end of the week. What's been written so far is in the process of being edited;; phew! This week is going to be intense.

Uh... update time?

I managed to injure my drawing hand =___=;;; so I've been resting it/generally being slow. As a result we got majorly delayed! We're going to keep working on this throughout April and expect an early May release. Sorry!! I hope everyone who was looking forward to this project doesn't mind the wait too much.

Progress check!
Writing: 80% (I still need to nail down some endings)
BGs: 80% (need to finish one and do some overlay graphics)
Sprites: 30% lined, 0% colored
GUI: 50%

I think code is 100% caught up based on all completed assets and available placeholders!! And that's it for the main stuff. We're keeping the scope the same despite the extended deadline, so I'm only doing extras if I finish the essential art by mid-April ^__^;;; WISH ME LUCK.

Congrats to everyone who completed on time! I look forward to playing everyone's games when I finish mine haha;;;

Hi! Thank you Yes, Jinsuke has only one arm. I purposely made sure you couldn't tell from his character portrait because I didn't want to make a big deal out of it xD;;

I'm still working on art so it's not out yet (I mostly do informal updates on twitter) but now's a good a time as any to show off some progress

Fake dialogue :P I *wish* I had a JPN translation.....

I have two more sprites to complete and then it's mostly editing the script after that ^__^ Almost there...
