Backgrounds have been a real struggle for the past few days but I’ve managed to finish one of the forest backgrounds. Not super happy with how it turned out tbh, but I guess it’s good enough for someone who rarely does backgrounds xD

Anyway, I just wanted to say that the script for Starlit Flowers is now 20k words long! I still have some scenes to write but I should finish the draft by the end of the week. Then I'll start the editing phase!

Well... For someone who rarely does background, you did great! ♥ And since it matches the sprites so well, you can tell yourself that mission is accomplished for that one.

Like Kowai said, the backgrounds fit with the cute style and theme well. Besides, I've always thought that sprites are more important than the backgrounds (since that's what we're looking at), so as long as the backgrounds are halfway decent you're good to go. ^_^ I would call yours more than decent, though - they're simple but serene-looking. c:

I just wanted to let everyone know that Momo and I have decided to make Starlit Flowers a Kinetic Visual Novel. Meaning, there will only be one ending and there will be no choices.
We expect the finished script to be around 18-20k words long.

Ahhh thank you so much everyone!! I was expecting far too much from myself and I tend to be too critical of my own work but I'm glad you guys liked those BGs!! I finished the second forest background and it looks a lot nicer than the one I posted yesterday but... somehow ended up in a completely different style? I dunno haha, it just kinda happened. But I'm super pleased with how it turned out and we've decided to scrap the previous one and just use this one.

EDIT: Fixed the colours and values a bit.

Finished another background!! I'm having a much easier time with the BGs now that I've figured out the style :'D

The first draft for the script is finished! It stands at 17k.
I'll start the editing/rewriting phase on Monday~! :3
