@Zelan Whaaaa thank you so much!! I actually wanted to draw the backgrounds like how I would normally draw which is basically inks and flat colours. But I realised just how time consuming that would be so I settled for a more painterly style haha. This style's definitely working well for me and it's much more flexible than lineart.

@Deji AAAA THANK YOU SO MUCH, DEJI!!! Your art inspires me a lot so hearing this from you makes me super happy hehe. And yes, I completely agree, having a real test build and seeing how everything fits together is the best feeling!!

Finished another background!! Just two more BGs left and then I can start doing the CGs!!!

EDIT: Fixed the colours a bit and removed the paintings since they looked too distracting/cluttered with the sprites.

FINALLY DONE WITH ALL THE BGS WOOHOO!!!! :'D

Hey all!

Just letting you know that the script for Starlit Flowers is almost finished! I've just got to proofread it (with Momo's help) and do some last minute edits then it should be good to go! It stands at 19k right now.

After the script is finished I'll get straight into adding all the code for the sprites, music, etc.
This is so exciting!

Updates will be less frequent now because I've started working on CGs and they're obviously rather spoilery haha. Tbh I'm pretty burnt out from doing all those backgrounds so there will only be 3 CGs for Starlit Flowers. We initially planned to have 6 CGs but I don’t think I can do that many with just a week left... that’d be way too stressful. I’ll try to squeeze in some more if we still have time but I highly doubt it since I’m snail slow at sketching >_<

The story sounds cute & all the art is so lovely! The characters are cute, the backgrounds, the textbox... ;w; Good luck finishing everything!
