I didn't get as far as I wanted because... well I had to try and remember how I actually paint things... I let my skills get rusty orz I started to get there in the end, but Christian still needs his other pose for the base to be complete. The next couple days are pretty crazy for me since I'm going to a conference, but I'll still try to get as much done as I can!

As always everything looks so pro!! I have no doubt you girls are going to make it :A:!

To Auro: I think he looks fine! I like how you did his face, and I can see a lot of progress in your art! I think perhaps you need lighter accents in his skin? Like the first prev you got to post, if you notice his face got more volume than the rest and it's because of the bit of lighter color. A friend told me this: Part of what gives volume is counter light(Jesus, I don't even know how to say this in English, someone please help :_:)

(Probably...Looking at actual cylinders would be more helpful :p)
Light jumps everywhere and even if there is a projected shadow, our limbs are supposed to be like cylinders, so there is a part that light influence. That's what gives a bunch of volume when you paint(There is also something of color theory, like you should make a some colors more saturated but I don't have the enough knowledge to back it up)
I hope this is a bit helpful! I can't wait to see the others!!

ps_Christian and Rainier are my favorites design wise! So handsome :u;

@Clua, Thanks! Yeah, I was thinking about adding some more contrast and maybe even some rim light but I wasn't sure if I wanted to add that much complexity just yet -.- I'm going to have to go back and edit all these guys later so i'll definitely consider it then! Thank you so much for the detailed feedback *bows in honour*

This is the slowest start to Nano I have ever had because of all the things I've had on but thankfully next week is far clearer!

I did manage to have a good crack at Viola's base, though still need second pose and her face needs editing. Still, progress!

Going to be picky, but I feel Viola's arm is too short in the second pose. I feel the base of her wrist should start further down her hip (but I could also be wrong {or maybe I just have long arms when I try the pose against myself).

@Lesleigh, I think I agree! I mean, it's where my arm comes up to but Viola is significantly taller and more elongated so I think I might make it longer anyway so it looks nice XD It's a pretty easy fix!

Started Rainier tonight. I picked out the first pose specifically so I could pull off that one emotion. Fight me.

I like how the story sounds, and oh god, you're so FAST! Just 6 days into Nanoreno and look all the stuff you've got done. Just, wow.

Thank you to everyone who's said nice words of support so far! ;w; I'm having a bit of a slow start because of some personal stuff, but it's nothing I hadn't anticipated. I'm about halfway done with writing the common route now. I'd like to finish the common route no later than Wednesday the 9th. The UI is done, design-wise, just need to wait on a few minor fixes until I code more of it. For the moment, the main menu, text box, choices, and in-game menu (it pops up when you click a button similarly to BCM's dropdown menu) are coded in. I've also largely gotten the music taken care of.

I've put in "love interest POV scenes" as a sort of stretch goal for if I manage to finish everything else in a timely manner. Haven't started on coding sprites or anything like that yet, but this isn't my first rodeo or anything, haha.

And maybe clearly indicate the knobby bit of her elbow (if her arm is twisted so her little finger faces the viewer, the the knobby bit of her elbow is probably on the left edge of her arm, with the muscle just above it running from the left to the right leaving a bit of an identation on the side closest to the knobby bit [her arm looks face on to me at the elbow at the moment, it probably just needs the indentation line to help make look like the knobby bits on the left and the inside of the elbow is on the right).

Like that tatoo on Rainier, but I think I like Christian's character the best.

Once again, you're SO FAST!! Both for Rainier's base and generally o_o

The sprite looks really good, and got me wondering, are you using some kind of texture, or is the shading what looks like it? I don't know how to describe it at all, but it looks like it's got a texture ~ Ahhh-- truly don't know how to put it, but it looks amazing! >w<

Sacha is still a little messy in places but... it's past 3am and i have work tomorrow :'D I'll try to tidy her up a little tomorrow and add on her second pose before I move on to Oliver!

@usa. Yes, yes I do! I've been using the same texture for like 4 years XD It's just a simple one made up of fuzz and dots I made way back when I was working on BCM. I like the effect it creates, I usually have it set to Overlay at a medium to low opacity. I also tend to use the Unsharp Mask filter when I do these types of paintings because I like the sharpness it creates and helps to retain detail when I scale the images down.
