Really good artist style for a story like this. Reminded me of some of the old samurai shows I use to watch =D. I'll play this when it comes out as the story is very interesting. Good luck with everything

When Kouichirou Nabatame, a high-ranking member of the Kodokushi, turned his back on his kingdom, his former allies spared no expense in tracking him down. They pursued him for weeks, burning down village after village, all in order to find and execute their old comrade.

After watching the Kodokushi set Hotsu village alight, Kouichirou braved the flames in search of food, but instead found the solitary survivor of the attack: a 14 year old girl, whose left hand had been freshly severed.

“Do you want to live?” he asked her, preparing to put the girl out of her misery.

Chiyo looked him dead in the eye, displaying a will to live stronger than any he'd seen before.

“Then come with me. From this day onward, you are my responsibility, and I won't allow harm to befall you ever again.”

Woah, the art, backgrounds and GUI are so beautiful and seem to go so well together! Really, I'm in love with the characters already and if this being a wandering samurai story wasn't exciting enough, that opening paragraph (summary) really tugged at my heartstrings. I can't wait to see how the story will progress.

in the background where everything is on fire, if you made the sky a little lighter behind the buildings to give them more contrast I think that would be good. it's looking a little muddled rn. (or adding a big of a glow along the edge, something to distinguish the roofs and the sky)
