I've been following this project for quite a while now so it's so great to see it revived like that!!
As always the art is tunning (even if it's only drafts ;) ), the GUI looks very practical and neat (even if it's only temporary), and the story looks very fluffy and cute :)

Holy sheep this looks super profesional.

So this is a game you guys were developing already and are going to use Nanoreno to release the demo, right? It's not a "proper" Nanoreno game, is it? If you guys did all of this in 5 days I'm just going to call you liars and cry under the table!

Since this is going to be a commercial project, you guys probably have this kind of thing solved already, but in case you don't, let me promote myself a little: I just finished my degree in videogame developement, and I'm really good at finding loopholes in story, character and design, and also providing solutions. I'm like a beta tester but for design instead of mechanics, haha.
If you need any review or feedback with the script, lore or whatever, be sure to message me because I'd love to help you with this project.

Thanks everybody, I'm so happy you like our stuff already and are looking forward to this ;v;

@Hi.In.Ni: We had old character designs (old sprite attempts, many many sketches, etc), base storyboard, and most of the GUI done before NaNo. And 2 Backgrounds :'D Everything else is new :) Technically this is an... uh... IntRenAiMo thing (as in 'finish your project during NaNo'), but with a demo instead of a full game. We asked if it still qualified as a proper NaNo project to the higher ups (hi, PyTom!), so here we are! :)
And ohhhh that sounds so cool! I'll definitely get back to you once we have more stuff done ^^

Okay, so... progress!

We've been slow :'D Our team has been busy with other stuff, or life has got in the way somehow, so the only thing consistently being worked on so far are characters!

I did some character reference sheets for myself and the team, like the ones below:

These sheets will be the go-to reference for everybody that needs a reference for drawing and flat-coloring characters :)

I also finally started sketching the sprites! I'm gonna sketch everybody before moving onto inking, so I can keep everything consistent :)

All the sprite sketches have a ton of layers to make editing/fixing easier. They all have at least 2 outfit variations, some have a couple of hairstyles. Hopefully, they may get 2 arm positions as well. Maybe :'D

And Ryuushiro/WaffleMeido finished sketching one BG! yay! <3

Konett's tablet is kind of dead, so she's behind schedule with life :'D
Kitty's still dealing with work + engagement shenaningans, but working on tightening up the storyboard.
And Nuge has been incredibly busy, but she'll power through the CG sketches next week :)
GamerBum/Jackie and Laiska/D.T. are just chilling in the chatroom with us while waiting for stuff to do x'D;

Oh, I also made a little PS mockup to test how the sprites would look.

This looks really amazing =D. So many options. The story is really nice as well and I see it as being one of those games that calm me down. Also for some reason the name makes me a bit hungry XD. As always your art is very good and I'm really excited to play. When you do a KS I will try and pledge if I can. I'd really like to see this game come to life =). Good luck you guys!

Just dropping by real quick with some stats:

Statistics:

The game contains 868 dialogue blocks, containing 9,317 words and 49,373
characters, for an average of 10.7 words and 57 characters per block.

The game contains 3 menus, 8 images, and 12 screens.

This is all the "fixed" scenes. Activity-tied scenes and other scenes here and there will be added starting now!

Also we have Penny's side sprite inked and flat colored and 3 backgrounds sketched!
All sprites will be inked and flat colored by the weekend, hopefully.
I'll try to at least sketch sprites for all the characters showing up (7 more characters besides the 9 we have sprites planned for) , but probably some of them will just have black silhouettes for the demo because time :'D

I haven't updated in a while, sorry :'D

Status of the thing:

Sprites: 6 inked and flat colored, one being inked, 2 left to ink.
CGs: 5 base-sketched, 1 rough sketched, 2( or 3?) left to sketch.
BGs: 4 sketched, 7 left to sketch.
GUI: all basic GUI coded, some visual bugs to be ironed out. Special screens and system not done yet.
Writing: Main scenes all done. Working on smaller and conditional scenes now.
Editing: Started editing already finalized scenes.

Since Nuge will be busy for the rest of the month, we hired J.Whitney to sketch the remaining CGs! :D

This week will be finishing the sprites (FINALLY) and exporting it into our test build, and cleaning the CG sketches so they look on-model with the game's art. Kone wants to experiment animating them with the 3D camera plugin >o< !!
