Speaking of Thala-- finished the sprite base color. I'll shade everything later, once I can decide on what style of shading.

Main menu getting some progress, but I just got more Ideas so I'm gonna spend a couple of hours just plotting out the second half of the game. Sometimes I wish I can work with a team, but when it comes to preexisting ideas I'm afraid I'd be like really anal about stuffs and be a slave driver LMAO

Despite napping my afternoon away (SHAME ON YOU, ME), managed to get the main menu done!



Fixed some minor details on Thala's sprite as well, and wrote a little bit on the script. Will continue that once I finish my HWs.
I'm setting my goals for NaNo on a demo consisting of the first "half" of the game, though it's probably going to end up being more like the first third. Potential word count for that perhaps would be roughly 15k? Give or take a couple thousand.

Trying to find a better word than "beautiful" or "lovely" to describe the main menu, but I just can't seem to find one... It's incredbly beautiful, you must have spend a lot of time on it (if not, you're god-level talented ).
The synopsis you gave us got me hooked the second I saw it (fantasy + "dysfunctional family")!
Even if you aim for a demo, or even just the 5 seconds of the game, I wish you all the best, because the story sounds awesome, the art is beautiful, I can't wait to see all those characters interact!

AAAAAAAAAAAA thank you so very much! The main menu art did take a bit, though mostly because I keep needing to put it off to do other arts. (NAMELY, THE SPRITES,,) But I'm so glad it turned out well, especially that you liked it!
I'm also glad the synopsis got you hooked jrkehtkslj I WAS kind of feeling like perhaps that was more flavor in text than necessary but at least it's not for naught now. BUT YEAH, fantasy dysfunctional family! It's actually a big part of the story because everything you choose as Em or Ally (namely, wording and perspective) both in the present and in the past really affect how they are now, which changes how Ann reacts to things since he's got memories of those times, too. Thank you so much, though! <33
