Synopsis
Blake Radcliffe, aged 32, was once an aspiring author...
But now, after the tragic loss of his wife, Cynthia, his aspirations have vanished.
With no inspiration, and no hope for the future, Blake becomes a recluse - until a chance meeting with a young girl called Sunny,
who just so happens to be in the wrong place at the right time.
Can Sunny help shine a little light in Blake's dreary life, or will her best efforts be for nothing?
Characters
Blake
In his early 30s (but hates being reminded of it).
Cynical, grumpy, and short-tempered - but can be sweet sometimes.
Enjoys watching hospital documentaries, as he finds the blood and guts cathartic.
Has a huge fondness for musicals, particularly
The Phantom of the Opera -
and nurses an intense, seemingly irrational hatred for the Hollywood actor Gerard Butler.
Sunny
15 years old.
Has aspirations of being a singer or an actress.
Despite her young age, she's mature, responsible, and intelligent.
The kind of girl who studies hard, gets good grades, and is well-liked by her teachers.
Finds Blake irritating and self-obsessed, but tries her best to cheer him up -
even if she has to suffer his endless tirades against the Hollywood actor Gerard Butler.

Oh I saw your twitter post the other day about experimenting with programming for this one! Good luck with that.
The character art looks lovely, and the story sounds really cute - I always like tales of friendship overcoming age gaps. And I also love The Phantom of the Opera, so I'm looking forward to some fun references to it - I assume some of Blake's hatred for Gerard Butler comes from a distaste for his portrayal of the Phantom in the movie version?

Thank you u_u I did most of the coding already, so now I'm more or less waiting for assets - and I need to finish the script, too.
Yup, his hatred of Gerard Butler comes mostly from his portrayal of the Phantom in the movie XD
He complains about it in the story. A lot.

Updated the thread with some up to date screenshots.
All the BGs are done, so I'm waiting on the last music track and then it is finished.
Also need to clean up some of the code but that shouldn't take too long.
It will be released next week, maybe on Tuesday/Wednesday.
