Really loving the look of the GUI- very fitting with the theme

Yay! Thanks you guys! First post has been updated with progress: The script is now 12% in (not as far along as I'd hoped, but I'm planning to make up some lost time tonight and tomorrow), and the music has been completed!

The sprites are coming along nicely. We're trying really hard to get the characters just right, so Rei has moved on to sketching the sprites in the poses they'll have during gameplay. There will likely be a couple of changes here-and-there in the final versions, but here are the current WIPs (hopefully we can make MC look a little less like Korra, ) :




Our first CG is nearly complete as well! Svarn is busy tweaking the coloring (especially MC's, since it's not currently matched up to the sprite's skin tone and hair), but it should be finished soon. The second and third CGs have been sketched out already, and should be next on the agenda.

1. How does the concept sound? Does the idea of such an isolated setting - with only one other character to interact with - bother you?

It doesn't bother me at all. It reminds me of Aloners, and I loved that VN. I reeeeeeally like the concept.

2. What kind of occupations would you guys like me to include for the MC?
Soldier? Pilot? I'd like her to be a teacher, but I guess there is no children on the ship XD

3. How do you feel about the character designs so far (keeping in mind that the finished sprites may look a bit different)?
I love her. I don't know why but... she's so agreeable. Her features... idk, it's weird, she just gives me good vibes. AND HE'S PRETTY. Pretty boy~ I ship them already? (ALSO: dat ass in the CG e_e HER'S I MEAN. Hottie MC)

A quick programming update, part 1 has been coded with all currently completed assets! It's really great so far, Agashi's doing a fantastic job >w< I'm also pumped to see the finished sprites aaaahhhh

I really like the premise! I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Sorry it's been crickets around here, but I got frustrated with lemma when I tried to update the first post in the thread and it kept telling me it couldn't post because it suddenly "couldn't detect the dimensions of the image" even though they're the same images I've used since I first opened this thread! Then I think I screamed into a pillow for about an hour... It was a bad day...
The script is now roughly 50% complete.

The new base sprites are done (just waiting on expressions) and they are just, SO lovely:
CGs are pretty much done. We got the minimum number we wanted done (4), so any others we add at this point will just be frosting on top.

BGs are still in progress. Most of them are demo-ready (meaning the artist would still love to add details for the final versions, but they aren't strictly NECESSARY), but we need about two more.

Wish us luck and we'll try to plow through as much as we can over the next couple days!

Wow, those sprites are so pretty! I love the way that the lighting works on both of them.

Haha, thanks! We're all pretty happy with how they turned out, and since you mentioned them, I'm happy to report that all expressions are now complete as well, so sprites are DONE!
