Update

Okay so we've got some big accomplishments!

The last sprite is done! woohoo!

Aaaand our lovely CG artist also finished one of the ending CGs! It has variations and it's G O R G E O U S. But I don't want to ruin the surprise, so I'll just give you a sprite:



Day 1 is complete and edited and with a bit more polish it'll be ready for the game! That means the script is about 1/5th done. And day 2 is underway!

We've also got the textbook sorted out:


That BG is NOT in the game, the BGs will be much prettier. Still working on the quick menu icons but we're slowly moving along!

Everyone's been working really hard and the discord has been blowing up. Although our discussions seem to dissolve quicker and quicker...thankfully we're all talented people who can multitask between talking about minecraft and working hard.

And now I apparently have to learn how to play minecraft so we can play together at the end of March.

Update time! So as Rei said, we've got lineart for one BG! And it looks spectacular. All the sprites and their expressions are also done! I made Caesar's eyes a little smaller for his final sprite, so look forward to his more mature look.

The UI design is complete! We've got a CG gallery, a music room, and a preferences screen, so you can turn the fantastic soundtrack all the way UP. Here's an early mock up of the save screen:



Also, Kyan has finished one of the ending CGs and is hard at work on another!

The rough draft of Day 2 of the script is nearly done!

And that's our first week! We've made some great progress and I can't wait to keep going. I'm hoping to finish the script by week three so I can help with testing and fiddle with the UI some more. We'll see how it goes!

It is! I've been using AC stuff for a lot of placeholders xD

Okay! So today I did a few more mystery screens! Well, not so much a mystery. More progress was made on the BGs as well! I've included some of Caesar's expressions, too. He's such a cutie.

I'm hoping to finish Day 2 before the weekend is over, the rough draft is done!

Not a lot of art updates today, but the Day 2 script is done! Nearly halfway there now! And I've drawn some new expressions for the MC.

Here's a sneak peak from the script:

“The hall closet reveals a few board games in pristine condition. I’m not sure if that means we don’t play them often, or we simply take good care of them.”
“Other than just, just a few jackets that seem to belong to Caesar and I both.”
“The bedroom probably has more personal things.”
“When I step inside, my eyes are drawn to the window.”
“At first, I’m not sure why. I see the outline of the fire escape, and beyond that the bright colors of the city.”
“Then a man steps into view.”
“The first thing I notice about him is how tall he is. The second is that there’s a strange band on his forearm projecting some sort of holographic panels.”
“My first reaction is no reaction at all. I simply watch, confused. It’s not so unusual, I suppose, for someone to be on the fire escape. The unusualness comes from his intense stare.”
“He taps on the holographic panels in a strange rhythm.”
“There’s a {i}click{/i} from inside the apartment.”
“When I move my eyes to the source, I realize the window has unlocked itself.”

There's still a bit of time before the halfway point! I'm hoping to finish the script by the end of next week, but we shall see!

Progress update! Day 2 is done and being edited, and day 3 is underway at 3,400 words. A couple of CGs have been finished but I don't want to give you guys any spoilers so you'll just have to be patient c:

Day 3 is officially finished and ready to be edited! That just leaves day 4 and some other miscellaneous scenes. On the home stretch now guys!

We've also got a few new expressions for the MC so I made a little chart.

Also, I just finished writing a rough draft of the endings! I'm hoping to get all the writing finished and polished up by next weekend because the last week of march will be busy for me.
