Okay, a little while back I began a small project called the Free Sprite Initiative. It was going to be a large gather of free-to-use, non-commercial project sprites. Some initial commissions for the project were done, but I simply don't have the time to manage commissioning several artists in addition to my day job in addition to all the projects I'm running. There simply isn't enough time in the day, and I'm already at 5 hours of sleep a day. So... here is the one commission for the Initiative that I DID get commissioned.
I'll try to update this with a better intro sooner or later. Long story short, we are here to help you rookie developers with some free-to-use sprites.

I want to extend an extra special thank you to Tetiel and hope you all use it well. Hopefully, I will be able to get things moving again in October.

NEW ADDITIONS! 28Mar13

We are adding a new sprite by azureXtwilight! We will also be adding a couple more sprites by her in the future. The sprite contains 6 emotions and 1 pose. CC by-nc-sa license, also cannot be used for eroge/hentai.

Actually I've been wanting to do a similar thing for awhile... It'd be nice to let the art-impaired have a little more to choose from.

I can't do much because I'm taking summer classes right now, but if you have some ideas in mind I could "donate" some more sprites. Just PM me the details!

Thanks, these look great. Free sprites are always a sight for sore eyes.

I was thinking, would it be a good idea to sticky this thread or create a new centralised thread (call it the Free Sprite Initiative

)for all free sprite donations? There have been a couple of really nice ones lately and it would be awesome to have them all grouped together in one place.

EDIT: In fact, I'm willing to compile a url list of already available sprites from the forum (I have a couple already bookmarked) if the mods and artists think a stickied thread is an okay idea.

That's exactly what I was originally attempting to do. If anyone wants to assist, I'd love the help.

Free Sprite Initiative would be awesome. I'd be willing to donate some sprites too if anyone has any somewhat generic requests.

Also, whatever happened to the OELVN Wiki? I couldn't find a link to it on the forums (though I probably just missed it; I ended up googling it instead). Regardless, a more complete collection would be very nice to have.

Obscurity of the page, ease of access on the forum, and it being my project. If you'd like to link them all up on the wiki page in addition to what I am doing, please feel free.
