Deji's Resources - something new for a change, lol

Everything was Deji's stock graphics except for the:
- number on her shoulder
- headset
- handset
which were ripped from official Hatsune Miku jpegs.

I just changed to Miku's colors, then added:
- dark green on her eyes
- black thigh-highs

I have only changed one layer of each component though... I still have to work to change the other component layers to match.

Now I'm thinking of something similar to the "Make it Moe" thread, but this time much easier. "Make Celeste Cosplay!" maybe. First challenge (and it should be an easy one): recreate Otoha from Sky Girls!

This is pending Deji's permission of course. I think we'd all rather see Celeste in all-original VNs.

As mentioned before, People are free to customize Celeste whatever way they want and to include new elements if they wish to =3 It's be fun to see what kind of characters could be made using Celeste as a base =P

BTW, I already sketched the next PSD Dolls.
Meet Aurélie and Akos ^^

Aurélie will have a golden-ish color scheme, while Akos will have a white/pale-ish one ^^ They will be customizable to fit your color choices, of course, just like Celeste =3

I'd suggest going with Aurélie. My rationale is that with Celeste and Aurélie, you have two girls, drawn using a similar style. That's enough for a not-insubstantial visual novel with a male protagonist who can pursue two girls. It's much harder to think of a game where you need sprites for 1 girl and 1 guy... you can think of them ("Are you a poofter? ~ the game ~"), but they're probably more rare.

Edit: I would also suggest keeping the uniform designs the same, so they can go to the same school.

I agree with Py'Tom, for similar reasons. Any game is going to look best when its artwork is all in a similar style; which means that if Celeste were to stand on her own, she'd be best in single-visible-character games like most of ATP's. But if she's got a friend, then a lot more is possible without someone having to try to draw something else attempting to imitate your style.

I was planning to keep all the PSD doll girls to have the same school uniform as well =P
Girls are always easier (and more fun) to draw and dress-up than males, so I might end up making Aurélie before making Akos.
When the three of them are finished, people could get the two girls the protagonist is chasing, and the male friend or rival XD;

I'd like to make in the end a wide range of characters, so people could make a game with several characters, all in the same style, and not just one or two =3

Aurélie beats Akos in cuteness, theres' no doubt about it ^^;

I've never played with the DSE, so I wouldn't know, lol. I just made a bunch of stick-men poses from photos I found and chose a couple randomly XP; (it's a good way to choose a pose for a character's sprite =3 )

I currently have this one on hiatus while I work on Astre@ for college. I'll start working on Asurelie as soon as I get free again... that should be around mid April or so ^^.

I'm sorry I never finished the companions for Celeste doll "Orz

Here you have a little something I've been toying with, playing with the idea of making different characters not only by face/hairdo, but body as well.

Feel free to use them as drawing bases for your own sprites, inspiration, etc etc.
I'll clean them later, give them a few expressions, and make proper bases out of them.
