Working with this right now from a challenge on DA. I still need to add shadows, texture, etc.

Good to see you again, King-sama! :D I like the hospital background, it looks like something straight out of a horror novel. I wouldn't want to know what just happened in there! And I love the mushroom pictures, they look so pretty!

Glad to see you again too, Zelan. (: I have never read a horror novel before but I wanted the background to have a scary feel to it as you could tell. Don't worry, you will never know what happened. Lol

Thanks for your comment.

Hey King-sama,

The background textures are starting to feel nice ^^

I felt something was odd with the perspective. I did some quick lines and you can see I find some minor inconsistencies in the vanishing points, but the main one is the leftmost door (line in red) which is not aligned with the other left door (which make it seems they have a different height - I believe they need to be aligned on the blue line). The slanted wood texture is contributing to that feeling of incorrectness. Also I find that none of the doors are perfectly parallel with the center floor/middle door vertical line, in particular the left part of the leftmost door (taking the image rotation into account of course).
Last the door keyhole is too round, it looks like it's front-facing ; in perspective it would look like an ellipse. I made a quick suggestion on the left door :)
What do you think ?

PS: also it seems the light comes a bit out of nowhere, maybe you can make the halogens brighter?

Hey bonsai, (Can I call you bonsai? I call you that in my head all the time lol)

Doing the textures was the most fun thing. (or the only fun thing..)

Yeah..., all these problems are there because I was lazy, hah. I didn't learn how to use Carapace properly to make it gives me more lines >>' And I was lazy to put a dot in the middle of the number 1

This is how it looks like with the Carapace thing. Big circle and no small dot.

I did my own lines. That's how I did it like while lineart stage. (I did this but yeah, the not putting a dot problem was the reason why it's all went wrong).
dark hall - hospital no light.png
This is how it should look like in the end. It shouldn't have any light source and that was my problem, I didn't know how to shade without any light source so I shaded it like it has ^^'. Any suggestions on the no light source shading? How would you do it/imagine it?

I'm not a bonsai, I'm a beautiful oak tree!

I didn't spot the "varying" ceiling height, sneaky mistake since the lines are right but the angle isn't!

Btw you might want to give the new Krita tool a try ;)

I didn't really think on how to light an unlit place. Theoretically this would be completely black but there could be some lit emergency exit sign right above the door, or other low-energy emergency light sources.
