Requesting critque, pointers and tips on my sketch

#1 Post by Tsuroika »

It's exams week at my school but I decided to draw instead of study!
This is what I managed to make.
ChainedSmall.png
That's a bullet shell under her left index finger. I'm planning on drawing her on a bell tower overlooking a city or something.

It's in the process of being sketched out right now and with that being the case, I feel the anatomy is off. That's also why she has no clothes yet.
I'm not too sure what it is though since I'm exhausted right now from dancing and not sleeping (Procrastination!)
I think the shoulders are off along with the torso? I tried to find photos of people in this pose, but no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Though for now, I'm off to bed...

Well now, this is really good.
About the only thing that is off is the ribs but that's more of an aesthetics thing... your style more then makes up for it.

any chance of a quick color?

Thanks! I'm not too sure if the ribs would show from the back but I'll look into it. Though that reminded me that I forgot to add in shoulder blades...
After I get all my homework done or get bored from doing it, I'll put some rough colors in, though I've never been good with them.

The outward bulge from her armpit down looks a little short making her midsection feel a little long. Again that can be passed off as Style.

Could you show us the drawing with structure lines? (You know, your vert. and horizontals and your sketch lines) Unless you're an outline drawer and there wasn't a stage with that stuff.

@dramspringfeald
Oh, I see what you mean. I'll try fixing it.

@CtrlAltLee
I don't use structure lines but I kind of make a stick figure type sketch with circles where the joints go and then draw the body in that pose. Though I don't think I even know how to make structure lines...
I'll try looking around the net for help with that and then try improving it a bit.

Thanks for the help you two!
I'll see if I can put something up soon.
