I experimented a lot with this one. I colored the hair and jacket differently, and I like how it came out -- the jacket, in any case. It could still use a lot of refining, particularly the hair, but I think it looks pretty nice. I need to start putting more details into the eyes and skin, which I'll probably do with the next requests.

I also did the sketching process differently, which resulted in cleaner, not-so-sketchy lines. I quite like it. Anyway, here it is:

I redraw my sketches... A LOT. I draw a loose sketch for the idea, then I draw a slightly more refined sketch of the body. I I draw the clothes over the body, which makes it even more refined. I often draw and redraw parts a lot. After I'm mostly satisfied, I erase most of the stray lines. I'm a bit, ah, "particular." xD

That was probably my neatest sketch in a while. I'm always looking for how I can be more efficient, and neatness can lead to efficiency. (:

Though I'm still an art n00b. I won't deny that.
