Re: Folder dump, now with requests! [Open]
When I looked at the characters it only took a few seconds for me to think of the comic (I am not trying to toot my own horn). It's like if I don't do it, I will never do it. You are more then welcome to draw something for me, take your pick.

Re: Folder dump, now with requests! [Open]
This is going to be a long one.
I got a hit of nostalgia when I was given a N64 a few days back. I kept thinking about Jet Force Gemini. I couldn't get it out of my head, I had to draw the characters! First Lupus! It was quite easy for me at the start. I know that when you draw something, you have to build it up (structure, pose, angle and so on.) I did this one right off the bat. nearly all the requests I'm given happen like this, I am given it, then I think for a bit, then "boom" I'm done. The problem is that I sometimes move to fast. I didn't like how I did the main body. The shape was off, this is because I went to fast. I was going to redo it in photoshop and fix the problems there.
I made the eyes to small and almost stuck with them. So glad I didn't.
I'm starting to get a lot better using photoshop. You can see the change in the eyes and that I'm using texture files (felt like cheating). I was trying my best to make the armour stained and brushed without finding out how, online.
I don't know why I wanted Lupus to have rusted armour. The problem I was facing now was that I had been working on this for so long, It was mentally and physically draining. This had never happen to me before on any drawing I did. so I have forced myself to stop. I might pick it up again in the future and finish it, till then I'll work on other things.
I was thinking on doing commission work as I need the dough (I really, really do!). I still have a way to go. Have fun everyone!!!!

I don't know how, but, I somehow screwed up my colour profile on my monitor and in Photoshop, Printing and drawing have been a pain in backside. The picture of Mabel is what made me realise the problem. I have no idea how the image will be viewed on your screens, but here it is anyway.
I uploaded this on the art dumpage topic.

I'm pretty hammered at the moment and as I have nothing better to do at 1:30AM, I find myself drawing. I'll be uploading my progress. I have no plan what to to but that has never been a problem for me.

The Sandman has just entered my home and is refusing to leave. So I'll be leaving it here for tonight, but, I should complete this tomor.....today. I feel strange, using blood in my pictures.

Today has been very distracting for me. Once more I've re-done the outline and added more colour for reference.
I would like to have someone's opinion on this. What do you get when you look at this image? Do you imagine a context? and if so, what is it?
Re: Folder dump, now with requests! [Open]
Since you asked--I don't get it at all.
Without the blood I understood next to nothing, with blood I thought that maybe she pinches somebody's nose while hitting them and now I'm just sitting there and thinking "well... guess something happened and stuff".
However, it could be that, seeing as I'm not familiar with this style, I'm just horrible in reading the visual message, so it's not necessarily something that's wrong with the picture. (I'm sure I'll feel sooo stupid after you told me what it actually is and I won't be able to unsee it.)

Don't worry about not seeing it for what it is off the bat. In my VN (something I should be working on more) you are introduced to Adamantha. The moment you see before you, she had decided that a Chunk is no longer welcome, so, she has decided to solve it. her way of course. She is also wondering where our protagonist has ran off to.Endorphin wrote:Since you asked--I don't get it at all.

Whenever I resize pictures, they lose some vividness. I'm still trying to find out what is doing this. I've been working on this picture for some time and I'm going to leave it at this. I couldn't believe how difficult it was to do the blood, spent a long time re-doing it constantly.
Something a little more light-hearted. I love gravity falls!

You need to be a bit more specific honey.
When anybody uses the term "line art", to me,that could mean almost anything. Everything I do (I think) would fall under that banner. I say this because when I see others use that term, It looks like they mention it, as a genre.
I'll try to give you some helpful advice, But I'm not sure how I can go about that. The last picture I did (as you can see) just happened. If you want to know anything specific, that's fine. but to be truthful, I do it by just, well, doing it. This is the reason my tutors did not like me.
Maybe I could do a live stream of me re-doing an old picture of mine, See if anyone can guess how I do it? (While typing that last sentence I already got an idea of what to draw and how to do it. I'm on fire baby!!!)
