Been some times since I've showed my drawings here, so I decided to make a new thread since the other one is REALLY old

Never worked much on VN related stuff because of my lack of skill, tough I'll try to make some serious stuff some day. Maybe when I'll get a real comp'. Don't have one actually for now, I use my parent's, so don't have much occasion to work on it, thus most of my works are traditional ones.

Mostly sketch and ink for now.

Hello world

I've been recently (since yesterday ?) trying to make a more cartoon-ish style, for two reasons :
- Gotta admit, I'm lacking skills in anatomy, the characters I draw are usually quite bad looking, I'd like to make more good looking ones, and maybe even comics.
- I'm trying too much to make realistic stuff, but it always looks wrong, because, like I said, of my lack of skills. I tought about doing more simple drawings and gradually improve in anatomy, step by step.
Here is a first try :

Hello again, here is a continuation of what I made two days ago

This time, drew a kind of character sheet for one of my OC, also modified her face a bit compared to the previous drawing to make her look a bit older.
I also tried my color pen I recently got for the first time, and it's quite cool to use. As you can see, made 2 versions, the first one is a clean drawing, while I wanted to make the second one a bit "rougher" with thick lines and an unfinished look (it IS finished, that's the point).

Any comment ? Also, just wondering, which version do you prefer ?

Do you have a frame of reference as to what kind of style you find attractive? Who are your favorite artists? You could try copying/studying their style so you can learn something new.

I'm quite open minded concerning art styles, tough I do prefer serious and detailed ones.

my favorite artist is easily Araki Hirohiko, tough at this point, it's more a kind of "ultimate goal" to get near from his level

Also, finally finished inking a background I've been working on the last two weeks. It's the first time I'm actually doing a detailed one (I always avoid drawing them usually) with a real perspective, so sorry if there are any errors ^^;
