Just thought I'd draw a redline to help you with that 3/4 drawing really quick. xD
thanks again for putting time and helping me out, What I wrote on my last post was wrong , im didnt draw a full 3/4 drawing , it is basically just the head which is at that position.
although your red line showed me that I can and should make the shoulders a bit wider than it is now.
my main concern is if my characters look alike or not. which and if not , how am i supposed to fix it , if it was a side view , i could use guide lines and draw it that way but i'm not really sure now.

once again thanks a lot

So here I'm updating my thread with a new work... I tried out new stuff, I think I found my way of coloring eyes ...
the armor and shield were that hardest parts ...
took me a while to color them and had to re do it several times.

So yeah here I am with another Upload, I'm kinda drawing this when I have nothing to do on loading screens and such. my first upload after the new website version!

I wonder if my works are good for visual novels? I think I have come a long way from my first post on this topic.

HMMM, good question, Seems like I keep jumping from 2 styles... the reason? to be honest, I don't know! the one before my last work... I think that's more Original than the newer one.

I think I have one loli style which is a bit cuter and the other one which is a little bit more mature? But right before drawing my last work I was practicing that type of face so ... yeah, some how I went for loli style!

One more thing is that I think I'm good at stealing styles that I like, for example, my first works which are of really low quality... are kinda close to Oyari Ashito style (not comparable to be honest, but you can see similarities!). So If I see a style that I love, It will affect my own style, as it is still developing!

so yeah, it's been a while I guess xD the previous image which was in WIP state is finished (it was got finished like 2-3 weeks ago) so here I'm uploading it, I'm starting to see that in some areas I have a loooooooong way to go, maybe I can even add 3 more "o" to that long. I think I can draw hands properly and the eyes look much better than before, still anatomy wise, I'm having a hard time.

so here is my latest work, Named ... ehem Random - 15!

a new work, well more like one my first works that were intended as training.... I've decided to draw more and STUDY anatomy a bit so I may post my sketches from time to time.
I'm probably not gonna finish the most of the things I post for some time... so that I can draw more useful stuff than putting the time to color it and make it look better.
Red lines and tips and curses are super welcome!

PS: "any ideas how I can make this character look a bit younger?"

another try to get the anatomy right, a sporty type of character to go with some muscles here and there. any type of critique, tip or redline is appreciated.

tried to clean it up a bit before posting it here.

and here, another try... I wanted to give it a floating feeling...
feels like I'm getting the hang of it, yet some problems remain, will try to switch to 6.5 head tall. any type of critique would be awesome.

I think you're making good progress, and I'll say what people told me - use more references.
Just straight copy a pose (do not trace) and try to see where's the difference and why. Take a look at real photos (Google helps) and just change proportions to fit "anime" style better.
You'd quickly notice that some parts in your anatomy are just... off.

With the last one, I think more "floating" feeling would be if you made loose strands of back hair more on sides.
I'm not sure if I see it right, but the front hair are totally straight up? So should the rest of hair, more or less, follow that "action line", wind, gravity, whatever force affects the character.
Some random Goolge search example what I mean with flowy hair - http://www.wallpaperbetter.com/wallpape ... e-size.jpg
There's something wrong with her right arm (left when looking at picture). I think it should be also more up.
Her left leg also gives strange feeling to me. If we're supposed to be looking on it more from side, maybe you could define better knee area.
The same goes to other leg, just two small lines to indicate knee.

Also, general tip: I see that you're making the same mistake as I was with neck/arms - I think it would look better if neck would be a bit more straight, more defined, not just blending in arms. If you just make it a bit wider from head part than by the arms, and made more steep angle between neck and arms, it might look better. It depends on style you want to achieve, but you might think about breaking it in two lines - one for neck line, and draw it slighly more, below arm line, and another line for arm. It might really make a difference in 3/4 view like your sporty type.
Take a look at this: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ae/7e/2f ... a64c13.jpg and https://i.pinimg.com/736x/9a/e9/02/9ae9 ... me-cat.jpg and https://i.pinimg.com/236x/b8/0b/13/b80b ... -girls.jpg

I hope I helped a bit, keep it up!

She's very cute, I like the pastel colorings, and shading done on her. I don't really have anything bad to say very good job!

Lol yes unfortunately I didn't post that to my DA account. She was a character I drew that was a concept for a story I was trying to come up it.

another WIP one here I guess I'm kinda speeding up, I usually draw between my classes at Uni as a way to cool my head haha.

I Like how this one is turning out, But I'm not sure If I'm gonna color it or not. Also, I think that I should Use the 2nd Part Of my last name, AZAD.
