Needing tips & feedback on how to improve this character

Hello! I'm currently doing another visual novel and one of the characters is Walter, a very shy boy who blushes at the smallest things. He also easily freaks out when he sees scary things. I want to achieve that feminine boy, but should has a strong-looking, manly physique. Now, I've made two versions of it, the pink-haired one, and the other one, I kind of want to have his hair as blue. But I haven't colored him yet so I can make more changes based on the critiques that I'll get.
I'm primarily concerned with:
1. Which one's better according to Walter's personality description?
2. Do their bodies look kind of awkward? Especially the poses? I want a pose that's related to Walter's personality.
3. How should I improve the hands right? Cos I feel like I'm doing a terrible job with the hands and the shoulders.
4. Does the character looks alive? I don't know but like, there's this feeling when you look at an art and they look very much alive to you. Maybe I'm just hoping that my character won't look boring or something.
5. Is there any other small details I should add? Like, more creases on the clothes or like, if there should be an improvement with my coloring. I suck at coloring, too.
6. Any links to helpful tutorials are very much welcomed. I've seen a lot of links in the stickied threads from the Asset Creation: Art forum but I don't know where I should really focus on improving. There's a lot of tutorials about everything that I don't know which one to learn first >.>
