I think those two BGs look pretty good overall, and are improvements from your previous ones. A note on perspective, however, seeing as the lines don't really seem to agree with each other. Generally, lines that are parallel and straight should all intersect at one vanishing point when put into perspective (I hope this makes sense). For example, near the centre at the top where the walls rise to meet the ceiling, these lines appear to be angled downwards a lot more than necessary, giving the room a look of being tilted. Unless this is what you intended, these lines probably would not be visible from the point of view the BG appears to have been drawn in. This is the main thing that stands out as looking odd, in my opinion.

Secondly, for your night version, I think the light radiating around the window looks rather strange. In real life, during the night, light doesn't really 'stream in' in quite the same way as during the day. Even on a very clear, bright night it doesn't quite achieve that level of visibility so I would suggest removing such for future night pictures. Another suggestion I can make is that the room could be made a bit darker to give it more of a night time atmosphere, and altering the shadows cast by the objects in the room a bit. It might be a bit much to consider all at once, but these are just some things I think might be good to consider for improvement.

They certainly don't look "weird" though!

The night version is weird huh? I'll change it too, and make the room darker then!
