Since this is a thread with links to Japanese BG sites, there's a site called
Ashinari which is full of photography from Japan and all images are free to use in any way, from what I recall, with no requirement of giving any sort of credit (though I'm sure you can if you want to). There are some really great photos on there.

I'd like to share this link as well. This person in pixiv has uploaded good photos that we can use for backgrounds. What I read is that they even let us edit it freely. I don't know about credit though, but it's better if you let them know you use their backgrounds.

Anyway can I ask if there is a need to do something extra for
http://guttari8.sakura.ne.jp/ as when the I used Google translate, it said that I had to give my name and comment that I will be using their backgrounds but since its google translate, I'm not really sure.
