I like ONScripter. It's my kind of engine. It is a shame it doesn't seem to be used much anymore. Kirikiri looks interesting though, I wonder how similar the scripting language is.
I decided to use ONScripter because I wanted a simple engine I wouldn't get bogged down trying to implement anything fancy with. Of course, it didn't work out that way. I still implement fancy stuff.
I've found quite a few bugs in the engine, but it doesn't seem to be maintained anymore. The Windows version seems to be the most stable, with the Linux version reliably crashing with the use of certain image files. Whenever I develop with it in on Linux I use the Windows binary. I suspect I'll have to release some new Linux binaries for the engine whenever I get around to releasing one of my games.
