Hi,
I've been working on an RPG engine for some time now and it is already advanced enough to make visual novels. It is called Sandbox Adventure Engine (SAE).
You will find some quick demos here: Sadik City, Queen At Arms, Wind Fortress (the last one is in french).
I've started working on a visual novel with several writers. Since the programming part is far ahead and I'm not one of the writers, it still have plenty of time before there is something I can work on. So I've decided to work on new features for the engine.
One of the feature I would definitely want to achieve is an automatic converter from and to Ren'Py. Of course, it won't be a one-click conversion but most work can be automated, leaving only "few" things to be done. Converting to Ren'Py should be relatively easy since everything is saved in a database and I can easily generate .rpy files from well organised datas. Converting from Ren'Py will be much more complicated since all informations are saved in raw python files and have to be properly parsed before being inserted in the database.
What I am looking now is a simple Ren'Py game so I can work on its importation to HTML5. If you've already finished a visual novel with Ren'Py (with no advanced python coding like puzzle) and you would like to import it to HTML5, don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for reading.

That would be pretty cool!
If you'd like to use my short VN "The Prisoner", you are welcome to do so. It is open source, not very long, and doesn't do a lot of complicated things (though it does have a small amount of ATL).

Great. That would be a good occasion to add a zoom feature on SAE, as well as the possibility of adding custom javascript function (for the second ending that use a really specific animation). There is a lack of NPC, but I guess I have to start somewhere
I've download your game and there is actually everything I need to convert. I'll work on it as soon as I can.
