Where can I publish non-Ren'Py games on the forum?

#1 Post by Czarine »

I wasn't sure where to post this, but here goes:

Can I publish finished non-Ren'Py visual novel games here on the forum, and where?
What about NaNoRenO games made in another engine? And WIP?

Hi. I am not a moderator here, so what follows is my experience and opinion.
I publish games using Visual Novelty and some that use a HTML5 format. I post links to the completed games in the appropriate sections of the forum (visual novels that are suitable for all ages in the Completed Games section viewforum.php?f=11
and place the completed 'adults only' games in the Completed Adult Games section viewforum.php?f=30

None of the admins or moderators have ever told me that my completed visual novels are posted in the wrong areas, told me to remove them, or moved them.

I don't participate in NaNoRenO, nor do I post information about my WIP here at LSF, but I would suspect none of the admins or moderators will chastise you if you post in the WIP and Nanoreno sections with the renpy stuff.
Some of my visual novels are at http://www.the-new-lagoon.com. They are NSFW
Poorly done hand-drawn art is still poorly done art. Be a Poser (or better yet, use DAZ Studio 3D) - dare to be different.

What fleet says.

The LSF is a forum for visual novels and story-based games, so no matter what the technological backbone of your production is, you may publish it in the respective section of our Completed Games forums.

We are also the Ren'Py tech support, but that's in addition to everything else.

Thanks for the help! I was unsure, because it wasn't clearly informed anywhere.

This thread may help, especially section 0:
The purpose of this forum is to promote the creation of visual novels and story-based games by providing a place for the creators of those games to teach each other, improve their skills, forge collaborations, and promote their work.
Doesn't mention Ren'Py anywhere, does it? ^_^
