Know this is somewhat old, but may I ask why this rule is in place?
Not that I'm objecting, but it seems like an odd rule ^^

The forums are meant to facilitate discussion among multiple members. If you're just having a one on one conversation in a topic, you might as well just have it over email or PMs instead of spamming up the place.

Was that an answer to my question?
If so, that's why I'm confused about the rule :/
(or am I just being stupid again and have gotten confused?)

It's an answer to your question.

I should also add onto it (and to clarify my answer) is that you can't make topics saying that you want replies to PMs and emails. You'd just get a bunch of empty topics that take up space.

You should make a rule for bumping threads.

We have one:
7.) Basic Forum Etiquette
* Do not double-post (do not post twice in a row in the same thread, unless you have significant new information)
* Do not "bump" threads unless you have something new to contribute

Thanks, I missed it.

You could just mention it in this thread.

Yes, please, go ahead. Or just PM the admins.

Okay. Um.

How about you make sections for For Hire, Hiring, Artists, Writers, Coders, Composers, Voice Actors, and such? Like in virtualpetlist.com? They have a category called Virtual Pets Market, and within it are sections like General Marketplace, Art Marketplace, Programming Marketplace, and Board of Inquiry.

This would be a great idea if this was "Lemma Exchange", a forum dedicated entirely to bringing creative people together for the creation of story-based games and visual novels.

Unfortunately, this is also a general VN discussion, creator discussion, Ren'Py tech support and anime/manga general interest forum. I'm not certain 7 new categories really help us.

However, I'm open for new ideas. I'm putting this up for discussion among the other admins; let's see what comes out of it.

A short reminder because it really seems to be necessary at the moment (had to delete five threads since last weekend):

The rules laid out in the opening post are actual rules, which we enforce. If you expect to find people to help with your project, at least take the time to write down some information about said project. If you don't do that even after we PM you, your thread will probably be deleted, no second warning given.
