Looking for GUI Designer and writer. (Now with screenshot)

(Find game description at the bottom)

Hey there, I'm directing my first visual novel (as well as taking on a lot of other jobs which is really overwhelming me) so I am in need of some extra team members. At the moment we are small, just myself and a couple of others.

I am mainly looking for a GUI designer for text box and menu/buttons ect to design something original that matches the game well. I'd assume this job would be quite self sufficient and able to be done in own time, but you will still be a part of our team.
Edit: I am willing to do skill trades for the GUI. I study music composition at university level, so I can offer you some original music. (Within my resources)

A writer is a little more complicated. At first I was planning on writing it myself, since I have a basic plot arch, but as I said, I'm being built up with many jobs at once. I'd need someone to write up my current draft ideas into something compelling to read, and also feel welcome to contribute to plot lines and discussions. Would require actively working with me throughout the whole project, and I'm not sure how easy I am to work with. I try my best but sometimes I can get a bit fussy, so if that kind of stuff stresses you out, it may be a bit too overwhelming.

We communicate via skype in general. So if you are interested either reply here or message me with some examples of what you do. As I said, this is my first VN project, so you don't have to be an experienced professional, because I know I'm not. (Of course I'd be happy if you were XD) I'll put below a little summery about what the VN is about to see if it sparks your interest.

Summery
The Surgeon:
A suspense, perhaps light horror VN, set in the early 1990's. You start off a the role of a young boy, seemingly trapped in a surgery with a creepy deformed man. Something compels you to drink the man's medicine before 'The Surgeon' returns. The choices you make at the start lead to three main branches. One where you continue on as the boy, rescued by another kid and bought back to his place and have to avoid being rediscovered by the surgeon. Another path you play as the Surgeon, discovering what exactly this suspicious person was up to, as well as trying to locate the boy. In the third path you unfortunately perish, but get to have fun playing as a ghost and haunting the people who tried to save you and/or tormented you. Each branch will have multiple endings, but they won't deviate from one another as much as the three main branches do.

Thought I'd add a screenshot to hopefully spark some interest (Should have done it from the start).
Currently we have 8 original sprites drawn with more to come and 3 backgrounds completed. It's not much, but it's a start and proof we are serious about this.

It looks really cool and I'd love to say I wanted to join... but I've never written horror before. Hope you get some takers soon

Can the ghost path dude possess people? :D

(That art looks so good.)
I did nothing. And still I rise.
And still I rise.

Haha, that's an interesting idea. I was thinking the ghost path would have 'good ghost' and 'evil ghost' options among them.
I do hope I get some GUI replies.

Cool idea and screenshot!

Have you ever thought about doing a web-based version, like on this first quick demo and this second one?

I can do GUIs. Gladly would do it if credited and would love to do a skill trade in exchange for them. I'd appreciate a composition for my SO greatly, if you're interested, but we can talk about that much later if you decide you'd enjoy working with me.

I'm prompt and easy to contact. : )

My samples I have available at the moment have been posted here:
http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... 61&t=29631

They're stylized to match what the thread maker requested (otome like visual novel GUI) but I can tailor the style to anything you'd like, so long as you provide references for me to work with.

Hope to hear back from you and what you think!
