Being fairly new to this forum, I have never participated in this event. But, I can think of no better way to brush up on my "writing within limitations" capabilities than striving to produce a game from start to finish in a single month!

I've dabbled a bit with Ren'py, so I'm pretty confident in my ability to at least put together a simple game. My greatest strength, however, is writing! I've a pretty interesting idea for a game that I think could work for NaNo, presently titled Void. Here's a bit of an overview, without giving too much away:

Ellie doesn't believe in magic. She's fifteen now, practically an adult, and her life is spiraling out of control. She doesn't have time to indulge her best friend's childish fantasies, but she also couldn't very well let her go to some suspicious gathering on her own. Needless to say, Ellie doesn't believe in witches either. A few bizarre nightmares aren't enough to change her mind on the subject. The weird, sickly girl she keeps seeing everywhere is nothing more than a figment of her imagination, and anyone in their right mind would surely agree that her increasingly elaborate hallucinations are nothing more than the result of way too little sleep and entirely too much stress. Ellie does not believe in magic. None of this is real, and no one is going to convince her otherwise.

As for genre, I am presently envisioning a bit of
horror, mystery, psychological, fantasy, and sci-fi.
This should be a fun project!

I have a lot of ideas for this story, but I want them to be a surprise for any potential readers! I'm open to suggestions from my partner as well. :)

If anyone is interested in working with me on this, please contact me as soon as possible! Or at least before March. : P

Look forward to seeing our WIP thread once March rolls around!
