Looking for Programmer/Coder and Cg Artist [Hiatus]

#1 Post by violetwhispers » Mon Feb 09, 2015 1:21 pm

Genre
[GxB] [slice of life] [romance] [Light-hearted]

Positions for assistant writer and editor filled

Programmer/Coder
I just need someone who has a basic knowledge of coding. that's able to do stuff like
fading/showing of character sprites, shock motions, adding music to certain scenes, changing bg/cg scenes, splitting routes, raising and lowering relationships bar according to choices made by the player, linking the routes together, and allowing some scenes to be seen only if the player selects certain options, adding a time and date box at the side of the screen, a page regarding the music played in the game that's linked to the menu (optional), a cg page and a bonus page about the characters past, and maybe a profile page that is linked to the main menu that will be unlocked via finishing the characters route, a page about the relationship bar is not needed.

Cg Artist (ON HOLD)
I hope to have about 16 to 26 cgs on a whole, that means 4 to 6 cgs per bachelor and maybe 1 or 2 on just the mc

Details:
As for the sprite art, the WIP should be setup this month, thus the sprite art will be posted too
Update! The WIP page is done (kinda)

So if you don't mind coding/drawing typical romance your welcomed to apply :D

So, do you intend to anything to difficult or is it just going to be basic scripting? I'm quite talented in C,C#, java, php, html, and getting pretty cozy in python and renpy. Can you give anymore details than this?

I think you should really edit the introduction before posting it on here. The grammar and punctuation is all over the place, and I think it would make it easier to read if you bolded the non dialogue parts.

:D I'm happy you are interested,

It's quiet basic, like fading/showing of character sprites, shock motions, adding music to certain scenes, changing bg/cg scenes, splitting routes, raising and lowering relationships bar according to choices made by the player, linking the routes together, and allowing some scenes to be seen only if the player selects certain options, adding a time and date box at the side of the screen, a page regarding the music played in the game that's linked to the menu (optional), a cg page and a bonus page about the characters past, and maybe a profile page that is linked to the main menu that will be unlocked via finishing the characters route, a page about the relationship bar is not needed

The game is about 6 to 7 months in game, 1 to 2 hour in real time.

It's event based, so a certain date will be shown before the event starts OR on the days events are not shown, a short cutscene of about one or two sentences will be shown on random. I'm fine with either.

Thanks for telling me. I feel so ashamed, I haven't touch the intro for the past few months. I edited it a bit but if there are anymore errors please let me know if you can. Thanks

This doesn't sound to time consuming and I could probably throw some time your way when I run out of stuff for my own and I'm waiting on the writer and artist to get things to me. So, yes. I'm willing.

Hi! I'm interested in becoming an assistance writer and wouldn't mind helping out! Seeing as how fluffy romantic stuff is my forte, I hope I'll be able to help! I'm on mobile right now so when I get on the computer I'll post a link to some writing I've done :D

Hi ! Do you still need a programmer ?

I’m very new to this visual novel stuff, but I would be interested in your project.

I'm fluent in html & css, I have good notions in php and I’m quite confident in my ability to learn an other programming language.
To be honest I only started dabbing into ren’py coding yesterday, but I already managed to make a very small game with several routes + sprite changing. As long as I find documentation somewhere on the web, I should manage.
And I love a good programming chalenge.
Well actually I just love programming, period! :D
