I'm looking for a writer and/or idea bouncer as a collaborator for the game jam, 2015's A Game By Its Cover, a two-month-long game jam (June 19-August 16) where you are meant to create a game based on another's fake cover art (or, in my case, a fake trailer).
The below image is meant to be concept art for the game:

The visual novel is based off this trailer.
"Stephen Spielberg’s classic horror becomes a family movie similar to Free Willy. The title is a parody of the romantic comedy Must Love Dogs."
About the project:
VN Type: Branching path, with multiple endings.
Genre: Comedy, friendship, and possibly romance.
Plot: Although this VN is NOT a fan game for Jaws, it's kinda a homage to films like Jaws, Free Willy, and Must Love Dogs/romantic comedies. It's meant to be a feel-good story about friendship and sharks.
I want the story to focus on these two blokes who become obsessed with this rare, freshwater shark they spot at the Canadian beach they work at (one man [see: the one on the left in the concept art] is a fisherman, the other's a marine biologist).
Their backstory is that they were pen pal/email friends, but when they finally met face-to-face, they instantly disliked each other and had a falling out. They haven't spoken to each other years after that (but they'd still recognise each other if they saw one another on the street).
After they spot the shark, they decide to work together to help study the shark and protect it from people who want to get rid of it (as its presence is bad for beach tourists due to everyone watching one-too-many shark-related disaster movies).
Basically, the main challenge is writing these two with a relationship that changes fairly quickly in a short visual novel:
1) They hate each other. They have emotional baggage and they at one point were friends before.
2) They start hanging out with each other because of the shark.
3) They start liking each other again.
4) They realise they are now friends again.
And possibly 5) They realise they are in love with each other. (I'm not sure if this step can be included due to the plot's/game's time constraints, but it would be nice to be able to make it one of the possible story endings.)
So, if any of this interests you, please feel free to contact me here or on Twitter, etc.
