"The Start of Something" formerly "Kigen no Monogatari", "From ***** with Love" is looking for a free Concept Artist. The reason for this is to bring five, six year old sketches to uniformity (to one style), and ultimately, to life.. There is a total of 10 characters. Sketches and descriptions are readily available.

The Start of Something follows Kyo Nakahara, a local teen studying in the local Imperial Academy. There he studies his way through to get a Magician's License, a mark of sorts of Imperial citizenship. Kyo's classmates are mostly foreigners, but still Japanese nonetheless, the reason being Japan (like the rest of the world) send their magicians for the license, and to keep them safe as they face persecution in most parts of the world.

School life for Kyo is not easy. Being tasked to take care of his class, he has to deal with a lot of personalities, and coupled with a few cultural differences, Kyo's plate is full. But there are people who do help him like Tomoko, his good for nothing childhood friend. Nanako, his girlfriend. Most of the trouble comes from Nanako's best friend, the energetic Maya who sometimes can't control her spells. And finally, another foreign student, Hiromi who seems to have taken a peculiar liking for Kyo. Will Kyo survive his last year in an uneventful manner? Probably not.

I haven't run the lint for years so I can't provide an accurate measure for the script, but with the source material already being so altered so much, it might be best to write a new script entirely. As such, I can't give a good ETA on the project either.

Sample sketches are right here: Here, actually.

Maybe you should show some images of characters and backgrounds as an example?

I've seen your update. That's good. Maybe you have some playable prototybe or a story guidelines? Also descriptions of locations, cultural setting, historical setting, time of year, and characters, not only their appearance but their background, intentions, mood, motives, conflicts and so on. What real life locations are you inspired with in is story? I think that information may also help to inspire other artists to collaborate with you.

I think reading articles linked here will help somehow:

If you already know the things that were written there, I just wasn't sure you know that, no pun intended.

Added the most concise version of everything. As for the backgrounds, there is nothing at the moment since the game was designed to use filtered photographs, although that may change. For the programming/script, I'll try upgrading it to 6.99 unless it's not salvageable and I should just rewrite everything from scratch.
