Closed- I've been informed that this game is a bit too big for a Jam like NaNo, so I'm going to close it up for now. I sadly don't have many ideas right now for a smaller game, so I don't think I'll do NaNo this year. As for this game I'll wait to come back to it later. I wish everyone the best of luck with their games though .

I did post there and looked around, but I think mostly everyone from artist to composer has been taken sadly =(. I gambling with one, but I think she's already doing a NaNo game....

Actually, I'm excited for this as this is a Fantasy BxB, both are which within my interests. ^^

However, I think for a NaNoRenO project, the artist's burden is quite a lot. Let me count it:
(4 main characters + 3 sub-characters) x 2 outfits = 14 times the time necessary for one sprite. And since this is fantasy, I think the outfit will be a heavy duty too. So... it's like, within the month, the sprite artist has to manage to produce one every 2 days?

I didn't count the CGs too since I assume that'll be done by a different artist. Unless you can find someone dedicated, I think it's going to be tough. :"D

If I may suggest, list the priority of the arts you're going to need. Which should be done by the original artist, and which would you be willing to use CC license arts?
Or maybe a first playable demo for NaNoRenO, you'd only require main characters, and then for outside NaNo, you'd polish the game and scout for sub characters, or something....

That being said, the requirement of chubby and chunky is also a deterring element. Is it chubby like Steven Universe? Or just refreshingly not flat? Will you require beefcake, or just muscled guys? The more specific (and separated into it's own categories), I think it'll be more inviting for others.

Those being said, good luck! It doesn't matter if you can't get an artist for NaNoRenO, you could be doing it for the rest of the year! : D

I see what you mean...I guess what I put up is too much for a single month to be done. I didn't think it through...I don't have many ideas for NaNo sadly DX. I guess I won't participate this year because my head really can't think of many things at the moment. ;-;. For this game, I'll keep it on hold for a while till later. But I thank you for helping me out and am grateful.


Ps-I think most artists are taken given all the people who are participating. I began too late ;-;. If I do NaNo, I have some old sprites I brought and I'll likely make a really short game, but not sure. Anyway, again thank you for the advice. For now I'm closing this thread. This game really is took big for such a small Jam DX.
