As a writer I've worked on a few games before for my own amusement, but this will be my first time actively reaching out for help in order to create an actual finished and polished game.

Genre: Romance, Friendship, Humor... also probably some elements of Suspense and Horror.
Also this is going to have some mature themes (including death and destruction) and strong language to it, so keep that in mind.

The Basic Plot:

After years of dreaming of working in publishing, Jasmine has finally gotten made her first step towards her dream job. Even if she’s nothing more than an intern, it’s a start. In her eyes it’s more than a start and she’s already planned out her entire life to go on without a hitch. That is, until her city is attacked by a giant monster! In the general pandemonium, she finds herself locked in a conference room with four other near strangers. Between the five of them they have to find a way to escape or, at least, figure out how to survive together until someone comes to rescue them. But, as Jasmine quickly discovers, none of her companions seem particularly desperate to live, all having lives Jasmine couldn't have ever dreamed of. If they’re all going to make it, she has to teach them all the value of living, but Jasmine has plenty to learn from them herself.

This should include about 6 or 7 endings (and maybe one secret joke end), not counting misc. bad ends. This includes a romance ending for each character and up to two non-romantic paths. This may be updated as the story develops. Even so I'm not expecting this to be a really long project. Maybe an hour or two to complete in total. Unless I get carried away.

The Characters:

Jasmine (aka the MC): The generally unobtrusive protagonist who, between her internship and finishing up university, pretty much thinks that life is going pretty swell right now. She has a passion for books and reading and counts them as having gotten her through all the tough times in her life.

James (aka the other intern): This British farm boy seems to have everything he needs to make girls and guys go wild. Tall, handsome and with an attractive accent to boot, he’s quickly become the most popular person in the firm it seems like. Taking a break from uni to come work in America for a year, the college boy has no problem going out drinking or partying with his coworkers but as far as anyone knows, he’s turned down every man or woman who’s tried to make a pass at him.

Kai (aka the boss): Distant and brooding, Kai was never a bad boss but he seemed impossible to get to know on a personal level. After months or even years of working together, people still knew anything more about him than his name. His work was exemplary and he had no trouble getting promotions even at a young age, but it didn’t change the fact that he did all of his work with utter dispassion. As far as anyone could tell, he didn’t care one bit about his job but between the quality of his work and his general demeanor, no one really had it in them to ask why.

Momiji “Mo” (aka the artist): Though he’s not employed by the firm as a worker, Mo tends to be seen every once in a while helping out with odd jobs here and there. His slight frame and youthful appearance make him seem immature and inept, but his general excitement and enthusiasm make it hard for people to refuse his offers of help. And he offers a lot. It seems as though Mo is incapable of seeing anyone doing something without immediately feeling the need to offer his services.

Aya (aka the delivery girl): It was really only by chance that Aya ended up in the room to begin with. Working multiple jobs to support herself, Aya rarely could be found doing actual delivery since her personality tended to be off-putting to say the least. Considering her petite size and attractive features, people always underestimated her on sight and generally found themselves on the receiving end of a long angry rant and a string of profanity. Despite her appearance and size, she’s generally overflowing with anger and passionate wrath at every perceived injustice of the world.

Positions:
I'm more than happy to take care of all the writing and I don't even mind tackling the programming but there are some things I definitely can't do.

Character/Background Artist(s): 4 character sprites (for the ones above) with a few poses each and at least one BG. If there are people willing to do more sprites/BGs/CGs, that would be wonderful but those are more optional.
Music/Sound Artist(s): Just someone or a few someones to add a little auditory life to the piece.
Programmer(s): While I'm willing to do this myself, if anyone else would like to take over they are welcome to it!
Anyone else who would like to contribute: If you have an idea for something and/or would like to send something my way feel free!

In Closing:

This is a FREE project and I just want to make it with the intention of having some fun and flexing some creative muscle. I can't afford to pay anyone for the work they'd do here unfortunately, I can only hope you have as much fun with this as I do. Even so, I do want this to be of the highest standard I can make it.
