UPDATE: My team, Clockwork Cafe, and I are looking for a composer to join our team! We want someone who will want to work on projects with us for a while - projects which will become paid in the future! Hi there! My name is Sulley, and I have a VN that I'm really hoping to get some help with. I need pretty much an entire squad - but this project is going to be a free one, so I won't be able to pay anyone, but at least we'll get the experience and maybe, if we work well together, we can work on some together in the future! I'd love it if we could all stay in contact some way, whether that be through a thread here or a messenger like Skype.

So if you're still with me, let's get on with some details!
The title is Truth Beneath the Rose, and the synopsis is as follows:
You are the son/daughter of a murder victim, and exactly a year after your father's death, the case has gone cold. The police were unable to find any leads. You decide you want your revenge, so you enlist the help of a private detective. You insist that this private detective solves the case - with your help. And along the way, you meet a cast of colorful characters, including the private detective's detective-in-training, a quirky tattoo artist from the parlor next door to your apartment, and even your best friend comes along for the ride. The novel follows your path as you seek out your father's killer - and maybe, you'll find the person that you're truly destined to spend the rest of your days with.

I'm planning for this VN to be a longer one - probably around 4-5 hours to complete a single route, but it all depends on the writing and how many characters we end up adding. I don't have a particular timeframe. There's no rush to getting anything completed.


The basics for who I need are as follows:

A co-writer or two (I don't mind to write the entirety of the script but I'd love to have someone to bounce ideas off!) *TAKEN*
A background artist or two *TAKEN*
CG artists *TAKEN*
Character artists (who will each be doing sprites for a character or two) *TAKEN*
A composer
A programmer (unfortunately, I have no idea how any of the programs to make VNs work ;A;) *TAKEN*
An editor *TAKEN*
Perhaps later, some voice actors



All I need is a sample of work for whatever you're wanting to do for this project - whether that's a sample of your writing, of your artwork, or music, either post it below or PM it to me!

Hello. I don't necessarily have samples of my work other than what's in my signature and my character creation demo for a game I'm working on you can find on the forums here. But right now as I'm working on my game some more..I wouldn't mind something extra to do because I like to jump back and forth between things instead of focus hard on one task constantly (though I do have a job and I may not be free 24/7 to do things). I'd like to program for you if you want And I've found Skype to be easiest. You can just make a group on there and have everyone on your team chat through that.

From the stuff i've seen in your signature, your programming is really good * u * i would love to have you program for us! i'm pretty new to the creation of games so just let me know what all information you need, and i'll get a group skype set up for the team. ^^

So I'm assuming this means you haven't started initially or anything, right? Do you have Ren'Py or anything? Honestly, just tell me what you want/envision and I'll do it for you or even help you learn some things too if you want - especially just very basic things that would be convenient for you to know if you wanted to add in things on your own whenever.

I'm quite new to the creation of visual novels but it's something that I've been wanting to get into for awhile now- what better way to get experience than to start right?

I can offer services with writing, proof reading and general idea bouncing. I'm a traditional artist though I can't do digital so I can't help with anything on that side, at least not by myself. If you want any concept art or rough sketches for your future artists to get started on I can do that.
As for samples I don't have much online, I will send over photos of my recent artwork later this week ( boarding a plane back home tomorrow), I recently helped proofread the english translation of 'From Vision to Reality' by Martin Frischknecht which will be coming out later this year or early next year.
For my own writing, what example would be best to send you so you have an idea of my style or whatever else you want to know?

I do really need a co-writer / idea bouncer, just to help me get the basis of the story laid out and to help write a route or two. As for a writing sample, I don't mind what you send, as long as it does have some dialogue between characters in it. I'd like to just see something that has a balance of description and dialogue. ^^

We only have one artist for the moment so concept art would probably help out, I'd love to see some samples of that too whenever you get the chance to send it. ^^

update: all we need now is a composer! if anyone's interested give us a shout!

Hello! I'm new on here but I saw that you were looking for a team. I saw that the artist role haven't been filled yet so I would like to apply for that position. I don't know what kind of art you are looking for, but I can match my art with whichever themes you may like. I can mostly do CGs and some time with sprites. My previous laptop had crashed and I lost most of my previous works, but I do have some artwork example on my new laptop to show.

I'm willing to assist with writing and art, whether that be helping you develop scenarios and characters or contributing to the script or just lending an ear. I know that having another person to talk to about your ideas can help get them in focus and not stay cooped up inside your head so hopefully you assemble a group that compliments and works with you well for that ^^
