Melty Smile - An LGBT visual novel



Please know that this page will be heavily edited once
the necessary things are needed. There will be a few changes in the characters /
plot / or even game features.

Please be mindful that this is my very first game. I may be slow at times, but please be patient!



Charged or Free: It'll be 100% free.
Release Date: Somewhere in 2018 or early 2019
Demo Release Date: late March 2018 / mid April 2018
Genre: Light Romance, Casual, Comedy and somewhat Psychological
Rate: 15+ for light suggestive and dark themes

There are currently 3 endings for each route.

1). Romance End / 2). Friendship End / 3). Bad End

There will also be 3 solo endings depend on choice as well as some achievements.



- A Gender Neutral Protagonist, player will be able to choose their gender as Male, Female, or Non-Binary.
- 5 love routes, each with their own special stories and completely LGBT Friendly.
- 25 possible endings, 3 per route.
- Estimated playtime has not been determined at the moment.
- 9+ unique side characters, each with their own stories to tell.

Lucian White has been struggling financially and emotionally after their late aunt has passed away after their eighteenth birthday. They’ve been trying to get multiple jobs to keep themselves from going off into living the streets, but however after many times of being fired on the spot after terrible anxiety issues. Things are starting to look dire... However things turned around when they were approached in the streets, a young, beautiful man handed them a colorful flyer before handing one to each person that walked by. It was a promotion flyer for a circus called, " The Melty Smile Crew, " that just came into town and they're looking for people to come and enjoy the shows they're hosting in the next few weeks.

Admission Fee was only a dollar, the Circus was only a few blocks away...

It couldn't hurt to take a look, right?

Avalon is an extremely sweet person and cares for everyone’s well-being and health. However,
thanks to everyone in the crew steering clear of him after the shows, he’s grown to be emotionally
brittle. However, he knows that he was at fault for all of their fear- for most of them have scars
among their bodies that he caused. All he can hope for is one day all of their fear would melt away
and see him as a friend and not a beast.

Schezie:
Nicknames: Puppet

Known as the asshole jerk of the crew, Schezie grew up as an orphan on the streets his entire
life until he was adopted by the headmaster at age nine. However, the rest of his story is unknown to
even the headmaster himself. When he's not busy exercising or practicing, he's usually seen bullying
the Blankenbecker twins, Keaton and Valentine.

Wynne Hearth:
Nicknames: N/A
Age: 17
Gender: Female

Daughter of the Ringmaster, Wynne has grown up a part of the crew since she was just a baby. Because
of her ability of Zoolingualism, she quickly became the leader of the animal tamers. Although she looks cheery,
poppy and outgoing, the glint in her eyes says otherwise. However, her father stated that there was nothing in
her life that could drag her down into depression.

CODE: 98B or preferred to be called, “Patchy”, is an albino android who seeks shelter under the Melty Smile
Circus trope for his own reasons. Many have questioned if he was really born as an android or was actually
created as one. He always tells them to leave it to their imagination and never spilled a detail about himself.
Occupation: Resident of the Melty Crew, often helps Keaton with maintenance work

Cheryl Dahl:
Nickname: Human Torch
Age: 25
Gender: Transgirl
Sexuality: Pansexual
Race(s): 77% Roman, 27% Norwegian
Cheryl and her brother were orphans living on the streets after they were seventeen. There were a lot of issues
back at her old home and the siblings had ended up running away from home with a criminal record. They fled
to a different city entirely and hoped that they weren’t being chased no longer, and that’s when they were found
by Robin; who gladly took them into his little circus of misfits.

I'm currently recruiting artists to help and create this dream into a living creation!
However, please know that I am a 19 year old college student that's struggling with terrible social anxiety,
panic attacks and stress / pressure from school. If you're looking for payment, I'm terribly sorry
to say that I will not be able to provide any bills to sit in your paypal / etc. But, if you volunteer to help
out, I'll accept you with a big hug and extremely grateful smile.

At this point, I've went through two artists during the construction of this game and it's
starting to come to the point where I really need to use money / kickstarter / etc. to
get this project onto its feet. Because if I can't do that, then this game is good as dead.
I don't really want to see this going down, but seeing where it's heading now, then it'll
just be in the graveyard or either getting the Persona 5 treatment and delayed until
2020 - 2021.

Since I don't really have that much when it comes to money in the bank, I can't really
demand for the most details until the the required visuals are needed to create a
kickstarter for this project. If you have reasonable prices for your art, please

The story and characters are very interesting! I really like the amount of time you have put into figuring out the layout, however, I do think a little tweaking needs to be made to the character bios. Some seem to be a bit rushed or jumbled, which makes their involvement a little bit hard to believe. Other than that, this looks like it could go really well!

‹ Current Update Log on game's and team's status ›

✧ Since Hurricane Harvey has now been officially over, the progression on the game's
script has now been spiked back up to its usual rate.

✧ However, since that Hurricane Irma is on its way, our music composer had recently
evacuated and have left some of his equipment behind. If there is anyone, at least two
people, that is willing to help out with the music / sound production along with the
main composer, please send an e-mail to saechoivn@gmail.com! There will be a
reply in the span of three to nine hours to the minimum, and to three to
five days to the maximum. If I do not reply within those time spans, feel free to
post in this thread about your recruitment!

✧ Due to school related issues, one of our editors, Rui, had to step out. If there
is anyone, just one, that is willing to help out with the plot / editing / revising / etc.
