Hey all I'm looking for a programmer of any skill level (preferably a beginner with lots of patience but it doesn't matter) who can help me with a passion project visual novel. Currently I'm looking for both an artist and a programmer, an artist on devianart and a programmer on here so don't think you have to be both I just want a programmer! But like the title says I'm a writer and I already have a good idea of where the story is going for this project.
The game itself is a yuri visual novel which takes place in highschool. The title is My Green Ocean and is about a lonely artist and a lonely class president who meet each other and fall in love.
INFORMATION YOU MUST KNOW BEFORE DECIDING TO HELP
Like the subject says this is a free project, although I do plan on selling it on platforms like itch.io and steam for around $3 or more depending on the quality of the game, so there is no guarantee of you making any money.
This is a three person project, so if there is money involved its split to 33/33/33 or atleast $1 per person but that is ONLY if people buy the game or not, otherwise this is a free project and your investing your time in order to make something fun.
You need to have extreme patience, like I said I'm still looking for an artist so things like sprites, backgrounds, and cg's will not be here immediately. This project will be incredibly slow at the start, even though I know the story in my head I haven't written out the entire script since I wasn't even sure if I was gonna program this myself or not. So if you decide to help keep in mind that not every single little thing is ready and like I said this is a slow beginners project directed by myself.
All communication has to be done through Discord as that is the easiest for me.
Its not a requirment but I would prefer if you used the engine Ren'Py since I'm familiar with it and will understand you when your asking me about design choices.
