[Spooktober 2022] [CLOSED] Looking for artist collaborator

#1 Post by infructescence » Mon Aug 15, 2022 5:40 am

Hi!

As the title says, I am looking for an artist to partner with for the 2022 Spooktober Jam. I looove Halloween.

My thought is that I would do the writing and coding while an artist would do the sprites and any CGs. I like 2D anime-style art, but something else could be cool too.

I can do simple gui art, backgrounds and logos so we can decide who will do these parts. For things like sound or voice we can discuss based on the project.

As partners we would collaborate on the theme, ideas and story. I have some ideas, but I think it would be fun to figure something out together with an artist that fits their style and interests. I only write yuri though so it would have to be either girl/girl or no romance, but other than that I am open. Something supernatural for Halloween would be great.

My thoughts are not too ambitious, I would like the scope to be relatively small so that it is manageable within the work capacity of both partners. The goal would be to produce a finished visual novel for the jam that we both like and had fun making. It could be good for building your portfolio for example, or for trying out a new art style. For me, I want to experience working with someone else and collaborating to get out of my own head a bit.

You can see examples of my work on my itch.io page: https://leafletgames.itch.io/

If you're interested, email me at gamesleaflet@gmail.com.

Thanks for reading!
