Ever 17. No doubt about it.

'Karma' makes me cry like a little girl everytime I listen to it.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni OST is the best I've heard in a long time.

I quite enjoyed Saya no Uta's as well because of the sheer insanity of it all (the fact that the wonderful, surreal and beautiful tracks were actually symbolizing the worst things while the tracks which sound downright demented symbolize things that are normal). Also, Madoka Magica wasn't a VN, but I liked its soundtrack a lot.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney's tracks were low quality NDS tracks, but they had rather catchy tunes. I loved the remixes.

In my opinion....

G-Senjou no Maou probably has some of the best bgm I've ever heard.

Natsume's theme in Edelweiss was pure awesome wrapped in cuteness.

Ever17's Karma and Klaumak Heilmittel REALLY fit well with their scenes. T-T (THE TSUGUMI ROUTE ENDING WAS PURE BEAUTY, BEST ENDING EVER!)

Family Project had some pretty good stuff in there too, especially during the Aoba route. : )

I would say Ever 17, Haruiro Ouse and Little Busters!'s soundtracks are great. I actually spend hours listening to one track from LB.

Nothing can come close to beating Umineko except Higurashi and Higanbana. Even then, Umineko is still miles ahead.

I really have to name a specific track here: Saya no Uta - Silent Sorrow

Hearing this song in the "good" ending for the first time was an insanely beautiful moment. And it made a later ending very special for me too. I love synthesizer sounds and I love orchestral instruments (just not the compositions made with them most of the time). This track puts both of them so well together I really have issues to describe it. The violins are heartbreaking and the non-stopping synthesizer "ladders" being played give it a strange mixture of desperation, sadness and calmness. Totally fitting for every ending of this novel. This track totally stands out from everything I've ever heard in a VN. Undescribingly beautiful. Everytime I listen to it I instantly want to experience this novel again.

The whole soundtrack is pretty perfect, so I guess I can name it as my favorite in general as well. But this track just stands out so much that I can't help but name it on its own.
