Phantom Of Inferno

One of my personally favorite moments in this game was the test drive in the Ferrari F40.
Anyway, I just found that the sequence could probably have been inspired by a real incident where a Japanese guy broke 200mph on a highway and then sold the video before being arrested. Watch here.
It's almost exactly the same as in Phantom. The animation in Phantom has a very similar setting - the highway, the cars it passes, and the bridges. Technically the Phantom dash is in America, but it's just so similar to a Japanese guy & an F40 highway dash. Not least because an F40 is hugely exotic in Japan (unlike their Skylines and Eclipses). And apparently there's been a big commotion surrounding the video, so that also speaks in favor of the inspiration.
Yes, I know, no one cares.
